  1. I have been using Firefox for awhile now and I love all of the features. However, I find that it hangs up on me a bit. I am not sure if it is some of the extensions that I use, or what. It is far superior to Microsoft IE, so I don't want to go back. Any suggestions on what might be causing the hang-ups? What luck has everyone else had with Firefox? What about Opera? I have heard it kicks IE's ass as well, but it costs money. Is it worth it, or should I stick with Firefox.
  2. Next time you see Garth, thank him for me. Gritscone is a great place to take new leaders, and people who steal hangers should be taken out back and shot.
  3. Not I, going to be in 11worth... too far of a drive to climb in a crowd.

    Anonymous folks

Who are you? I noticed that there were 48 of you, and only 33 of us registerd folks online.
  9. How the fuck do you find out otherwise? I haven't quite figured that one out, but the more I see on the news and in the papers the more I see conflicting information, missing information, and even falsified information (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were not actually on the beach together). It is not right to form an opinion based upon the limited/biased info presented. My only recommendation is to read/watch as much as you can if you want to form a reliable position, if not don't bitch.

Are you sure that was not a climber? I've known quite a few climbers to enjoy 420...
  11. words, that is all this is, a battle over words, like most of politics. Bush used the strong words "Mission Accomplished" and they were probably a bit too strong, but who cares. Bush lied, Clinton lied, and I am sure many presidents before have lied too. And yes I know the bumper sticker, when Clinton lied nobody died. Well when people sign up for the army, they know that are putting their lives in the hands of the president. We need to look at the actions and results that have occurred. (and no, we should not look through the media, it is biased one way or the other, and only is part of the story at that). It is only after this can one see the benefits and detriments that have occurred.
  12. thanks for the update, I'll be sure to steer clear of there.
  13. How much stuff does Metolius make at their shop in OR?
  14. Is the "tree move" considered aid?
  15. I've got one of those fancy, schmancy metolius gear slings with all the loops and crap. It is great for easy stuff, aid, and keeping my gear sorted. But when I am trying harder routes, I just put my rack on my harness. I used an old generic tubular style webbing for awhile, but it was a bit annoying since it always seemed to get in the way. The biggest problem with the metolius sling is climbing chimneys. There is really no way to get the gear out of the way...

  18. This is good news. I just put my lettes in the mail yesterday... I love climbing at Darrington, and I am too lazy to hike /bike in 5 miles to climb Dreamer.
  19. Well maybe I was chatting with my friend, I was just discussing hardware. I've never been too excited about tracking technology and manufacture of soft goods.
  20. that was the state from mid last year according to fiend who works there. all hardware is fabbed in the states (I got a tour of their shop, it is all there). Plasic back-pack clasps, and some soft goods are done overseas.
  21. black diamond is 90%+ fabbed in US. only minor things (mainly small plastic pieces) are fabbed overseas
  22. how much other new stuff is planned for the new guide?
  23. I appreciate you all pulling this together. if I did not have a previous engagement, I would be there helping out. And no I will not be out climbing. Now who would haul their rear window to the base of the upper wall? Even from the top, isn't the road a way's back?
