Correction: The boy scouts will not admit gay boy scouts, either. Full disclosure: the Boy Scouts first got me out of the house and into the mountains. I owe that organization a life long debt of gratitude. Can I interest you in makeing a contribution to Boy Scouting and/or leading classes on climbing?

If I were not a Boy Scout leader I might find that funny. My son is 12 and is totally into Scouts. So yeah, I am a middle aged man who is a scout leader. Just for differant reasons. I have managed to get some of the boys up some peaks on the I-90 corridore, but only 1 so far up to Camp Muir. I am still working on it....

After reading these comments I've decided it would be rather fun to camp next to the CFC team. Of course you'd have to bait them occasionally to get them wound up. This could easily be done with some prayer flags and an ACLU sticker strategically placed somewhere in camp. Dropping a BoA credit card might work too! Thats funny. It would be to bad if in so doing you were able to get them worked up into a froth.

ACLU has sued to; Halt the singing of Christmas Carols in public facilities. Deny tax -exempt status for Churches. Remove all military chaplains. Remove all Christian symbols from public property. Prohibit Bible reading in classrooms even during free time. Remove In God We Trust from our coins. Remove God from the Pledge of Allegiance Deny federal funding for Boy Scouts until they admit gays and atheists I am not so sure on of the Boy Scout issues. I think Boy Scouts will not admit gays leaders. As for Atheist, part of the Boy Scout law is you can not be an atheist, you must believe in God. It does not say which God, but just God. You choose your god, but that is the 12th point of the Scout law.

PS. I think that is what VH wants to do, but wants to do it with others how consider themselfs as Christians, or more importantly followers of Jesus.

If a church starts telling it's congregation how to vote then they should lose their tax exempt status and donations should not be tax deductible. Agreed. IRS has been going after a couple such churches the last year or so. It's been in the papers. correction, ACLU using the IRS to go after the Christian God. Yeah, because we all know the ACLU secretly runs things I believe the IRS just might have access to it's own attorneys. While I don’t necessarily disagree with your theology, I do need to correct you on one point. The bible says Jesus is the word. The ‘word’ in Greek is logos. Logos means the substance or essence of divinity. John 1:1 In the beginning was the word (logos) and the word (logos) was with God, and the word (logos) was God. NIV. From this you can extrapolate love

As God’s created beings our greatest joy is to be with God and our worst torture is to be separated from God. So we have two natures, the spiritual and the physical. What kind of joy or torture we can expect in our spiritual life after the passing of our physical is beyond our physical nature to fully understand.

yeah, ya gotta watch that guilt stuff. remember, those five year olds have a pack mentality. given half a chance they'll eat you alive. you don't have kids do you? have you ever been to a birthday party at chuck-e-cheese?? I used a Kelty explore or expedition, can’t remember now. It is about 12 years ago, and I just checked out kelty.com and could not find it. (Go figure.) It had a bag under the child that was removable, stirrups for the child’s feet, and a shade covering that I never used. Mine was rated to 60 pounds total weight and I took it there many times….. When it was time for my daughter to get in my son had to start waking. Sorry, no weaning curve for my son, no option, and my daughter just wanted out of so she could run with her elder brother. Really it was used much more for coming out. They usually did not last more than 3 to 5 minutes on the way out before they fell asleep. That was tough to get them centered and asleep; nothing like 30 pounds leaning to the side. I seem to remember when I was looking into buying mine there was the Kelty brand and then one other. The Kelty line was functional, and the other seemed to be more fissional. Again, we are talking about several years ago. The bottom line is IT ROCKED. In retrospect I kind of wonder if it was the carrier or just the fact I was getting my children out there. Oh, one more VERY important thing. Make sure it has a five (5) point restraining system, AND USE IT. I was crossing a stream with my daughter, slipped on a rock and lunged forward. I don’t know why I put hand up, but I was surprised when I caught my daughter! My wife freaked and I almost pee my paints.
