My dear boys and girls we need a little history less here. this is not the first time nor will it be the last time the looney is stroger, or as it is today at par, with the USD. I remember back in the 80's, well I think it was about then the dollar was tanking against all currencies. It was bellow 100 JPY. (today it is 110 and in the past few weeks as low as 107) Then we had the Aisan flew. does anyone remember that? A complete melt down of almost all of the asian currencies. Thank you China for holding firm and not devalueing thier currency as well. The green back grew in strength. Now investors feel better about investing in emerging markets again so they are selling off their dollars betting on a bigger pay day out of these other markets. Yeah the dollar is weak today. It will turn around and get stronger shortly. In the mean time sell raw materials over seas as you now have the competative advantage to do so. Soon enough the dollar will streangthen and it will be time to imporot again.

the loony is now at .9909.

actually I am kind of afraid to meet any of you all as I might have met you before when you were pissed off at me being a butt head and had wanted to throw stuff at me.....

I always kind of thought as much…. Now I got proof! Why is it that beer tastes so much better than anything else after a grueling work out? Water is fine, but beer is goo, and martinis are great!

None of us had ever been skiing, boarding, or any thing like that. So 5 years ago I packed up the family, wife, son and daughter, and it was off to Big White where we rented a condominium for a week. The children were rather young when we started, 4 and 7, but by the first day of the our second year of doing this we had the children skiing in and out of the condo. Last year while at Stevens I told my daughter, 8 years old at the time, to keep up with me that I am going first this time; I took off. I am going at the outer upper edge of my ability when I heard a high pitch squeal of joy, and out of the corner of my eye this little pink streak went flashing past me…..Yup, that’s my girl. So, as an experienced parent who has done this before I would recommend for the first few days allow the professional teachers do the teaching. Drop the kid off at school and go have some fun with your partner. Then they should be able to keep up with your on the bunny slops and with practice quickly more up to intermediate or every advanced. I was told by the instructors at Big White 7 or 8 is about the youngest you want to start boarding because the stomach muscles need to be better developed for the toe groom. We go every winter for one week. We try to make it the week BEFORE Presidents’ Day week end. PD is the busiest for ski resorts. Oh, and get ready to have a GREAT time in the snow.

I grew up on a small farm and we had a rooster go over to the dark side. He was pure evil. I was about 6 or 7 years old when he cornered me in the barn, and I had to free myself with a pitch fork. Later he pecked my Grandmother on the calve as she was kneeling down and doing some weeding. It raised a huge welt. That was when we went out and KILLED the killer chicken. As I brought the ax down on it’s out stretched neck a certain feeling of relief, and sadness went through me. My Mother stewed that bird. I have never had any chicken that tasted better. It we good, that bird terrorized my younger brothers and I. When I got to finally free us from its terror, and then the ultimate justice, I got to eat him.

Everything says is correct and true. I did misrepresent T. Sorry.

Now back to the question at hand, is it abortion or murder? We are a nation of laws, and like it or not our current law allows for legal abortion. This guy did commit a murder because the mother wanted to keep her child. I see impassioned pleas from both sides. From the religious right who declare the sanctity of life starting at inception to the agnostic left who chose to believe as T has so clearly outlined. Life starts when the fetus can survive out side of the womb, pregnancies are inherently risky, and no one wants a child that a woman may choose to abort provided the child can not live outside of the womb. I guess my point is this, let’s for forget this entire diatribe and go skiing!

easy there joe mama. we were all spoon feed the same left wing, socialist prapogada in school. I think we all need to get out skies out and ready to go!

sorry, I don't get it. you can not say the unborn are have no rights but at the same time have rights. they can not be considered living and not living at the same time. consider this. there are very long waiting list of many loving coupels who want to adopt but can not becasue there are a shortage of children. Back to the original question, is it Abortion or Murder. I guess yes, it was murder. and I am willing to say in the first degree. the father thoughtfully carried out a plan to kill the unborn child. However, I still can not follow the leap from a person's right to privicy to the decliration that an unborn child is not alive...

Um, the US did warn Japan of the panding nukes....
-
is the weather supposed to turn into the pinapple express? Dag nab it. I want to go skiing!
-
You should start a new thread, "To have nuked or not to have nukes?" this one is about the islomofaciests and their teddy bears

My son named his teddy bear Bethany. I hope there is not out cry from that.....

I am not exactly sure when Pakistan got the bomb, but somehow I remember they had it when I was in school back in about 1981-84.... That is a little more than 10 years. maybe closer to 20 years.
-
This is adressing the unborn....
-
... Roe v. Wade ruled that the 14th amendment does not grant personhood to the unborn. The court did recognize, however, that the states do have two legitimate interests: to protect the health and well being of the mother and to protect the unborn. .... How is this NOT a contridition? Our law does not grant personhood to the unborn, but at the same time is called to protect the unborn; the one who does not have personhood.

I am going with the TV remote. That is prettly lazy. Watching TV is quite lazy, but a remote so you I don't have to get off my fat lazy rear end, well that has got to be it. Oh, Fast Food. That has to be a close second. thank you for the insperation. I have mapped out where I am going to put in my vegitalbe garden this spring.... that is if I ever get off the couch.

Wow, a very interesting case with plenty of twists. But off hand it looks like murder. If you assume that abortion is a choice, and if you assume if a women does NOT want an abortion, then you must protect the right of the unborn child. But that reasoning opens up another can of worms. Is it murder if the Women induce the abortion with out the man’s consent? If the answer is no, then why should be different for the reversal or roles

Scurvy - a derogatory adjective suitable for use in a loud voice, as in "Ye scurvy dogs!" A dredged skin disease brought on by a lack of Vitamin C.
-
Keelhaul - punishment To elaborate; when one is keel hauled their hands are tied together at the end of a rope, and their feet are tied together at the end of another rope. The person is dumped into the water on one side of the boat and pulled up on the other side with the other rope. This process is done a few times scraping the barnacles off the keel. After a few passes the victim is dead either from drowning, sawed in half, or eaten by sharks and in many cases for more than one of the reason just listed.

Belay - Stop that. "Belay that talk" would mean "shut up" Incorrect. The word belay comes from the French word for friction. On the old sailing ships there was a belay pin used to wrap the rope around so one man can hold hundreds of pound with just one hand. It is the same word root origin for use in climbing.
