One think I noticed on my Trango S Evos is that the nice toe "rocker" makes a huge gap in many crampons that are not geared towards a flexing 3/4 shank sole. Did you find this true wiht the Kaylands? What did you do about it(if anything)? Thanks -r

Sweet report! Did you actually climb on the 11th? We climbed the Reid on the 11th and those tents look mighty familiar. I was up at Illumination Saddle on the 17th and those routes (Leuthold and Reid HW) are looking less appealing. -r

Escalators

We were up there Saturday, and it was icy. It's always a bit distressing the see the assembling of the PMR folks. My best wishes to the climbers on a speedy recovery. Somehow, my father in Wisconsin was on the phone before I was back in Portland checking up on me since he had already heard about the accident! -r

I've never figured if Good Food is really good or if it just tastes so damned good after 5 days in the N. Cascades living off gu and Chicken and Rice. Good Food shakes rule too! Last time we were there, they were out of curly fries and the dysfunctional argument that ensued about forgetting to order more was just a little slice of americana that I might want to forget. -r
