I was coming back from Atlanta via Denver last night and got to watch alot of the debate on the plane. What a bunch of losers. Especially Parry and Romney. Those two are the poster child's for how not to act in a presidential debate. They guy on the far left (no pun intended) spoke some truth about balancing the budget. So far out of all of them......Ron Paul is the most level headed IMO.

If anyone of those GOP candidates were a man, they'd have stood up for him against the throngs of crazy, inbred florida republicans that were booing him. Of course, they chose to ignore it, instead. Also, I was fascinated to watch Santorum try to explain how the repeal of DADT is akin to giving gays "special privileges." What a twatface. I agree. Santorum lost all my respect (which was little to begin with) when he spouted off against this solder.

i'm meeting kenny out there in the morning - don't know what the hell we're doing yet though... I am planning on getting to the base sometime around 7 am. I have to be back by 2 so the early bird gets the worm.

I have seen a few bears in my time at Beacon. It has been a while....then again, it has been a while since I spent any real time there. Looks like I will be out there tomorrow and not Sunday....anyone else coming out?

The recession is so bad... ...How bad is it? I got a pre-declined credit card in the mail. CEOs are now playing miniature golf. Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 Congressmen. If the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them. McDonald's is selling the 1/4 ouncer. Angelina Jolie adopted a child from America . Parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children's names. My cousin had an exorcism but couldn't afford to pay for it, and they re-possessed her! A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico. A picture is now only worth 200 words. The Treasure Island casino in Las Vegas is now managed by Somali pirates. Congress says they are looking into this Bernard Madoff scandal. Oh Great! The guy who made $50 Billion disappear is being investigated by the people who made $1.5 Trillion disappear! And, finally... I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc., I called the Suicide Hotline. I got a call center in Pakistan , and when I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck.

Exactly how do you mean, "know"? We were not made aware of it until that night. We were out climbing all day.

Where were you on this day? I was in Squamish with two good friends. We did not know about it until later in the evening. Crazy.

In 2006 my partner and I did it car to car in 23 hours. I was wrecked beyond belief, I recommend 2 - 3 days. We simulclimbed in in 5 pitches with one 200 foot rope tied in half. We were 100 feet apart. I would have liked a second rope for the raps but it is possible to get off with one rope (we did it) If I recall it was 10 raps with about 500 feet of down climbing. You will need crampons to cross some ice and snow, but you can leave all that crap at the base. It is a super fun outing with about 5 feet of 5.7. The rest is all a piece of cake and super fun.
