We camped on the other side of Goose Egg from where the picture was taken. Right next to the river. Some of the best camping I have ever experienced. I only got one tick stuck me.......lol.

Yes. That is Goose Egg. I should know, we climbed it on Tues and camped behind it for 5 days.

Just got back from a 6 day climbing trip with Arent and company. Tieton River Gorge is an amazing place. Miss Beacon and crew.

Just got back. Had a great time....we found IMO one of the best camping sites I have been in in a long time. We attempted Ride the Lightening. Made it to the top of pitch 5 then decided to bail. It was sunny but very windy. We got cold....very cool climbing. That second pitch on R the L was incredible....steep!

How about a resource based economy were our resources work for us instead of raping the land for profit.

We are looking for adventure climbing. So I have heard so much about Goose Egg....have to see it for myself before I judge. The words "loose, scary and run-out" are in all the route discriptions for all the routes.....hahahahaha I plan on sport and crack climbing.

Why would it be cool to sell off great music?

Does anybody have any good information on finding routes at the base of Goose Egg Mtn? I have read it can be tricky finding the start of certain routes. Thanks!

I was there on Sunday (ozone) I have never seen so many people there. Probably over a 100 at one time. Funny how things change. I was once yelled at for telling someone about the Dropzone..... and now there are two billboards at the ozone telling everyone about it. Such a shame friendships have been lost over something as trivial as what to name it. Considering one of the people arguing has never even been there.

Beacon Rock is a special place. It has been known to heal. It has been known to be a place of romance. It has been known to be a place of grieving and great joy. Lots of partying. Lots of great climbers have come from its flanks. It has been known to completely destroy relationships. Its a Yosemite training ground. It is my church, my sacred ground. Some of the best bonds with friends have been forged on the vertical world it has to offer.
