  1. Thanks dude. Stay safe.
  2. Hang in there fellas, the best of the best are headed your way. KATU News Barker?
  3. That sounds almost as fun as your tumble down West Crater Rim.
  4. If you hate the police, at least have the balls not to call them when you need them.
  5. With a little flexibility in schedule, fitting 10-15 people in shouldn't be too big a deal. There are a lot of options out there for places to have your gathering. Get creative, it's worth a shot.
  6. Its a bit out there, but we had a great company party at Edgefield. There are a ton of cool mini-bars (Red Shed) when the party starts to mellow out and the drinkers rise up. And when people get too hammered, you can also get a room. Perhaps even hook up with that cute gal you thought wasn't married. 8D
  7. Trying to recall the 5 minute meeting a year ago...he was about 5'9" 150lbs. He looked to be in his late twenties, possibly early thirties, light brown hair. He had a darker complection which could have been from being out in the sun or perhaps his alleged hispanic ancestry. He was wearing a red/black MHW Windstopper jacket and Levis. Seemed fairly normal once we finally got around to meeting.
  8. I'm just not that handy in that department. But I may resort to that if it's the last good option. Thanks DFA for the PM !
  9. Nope. Not the same person. I've met both. About a year ago I bought some used Rossignol Scratch BCs from ARC ("Joe" at the time). I drove to Olympia late one afternoon to meet him and alas, he couldn't meet until early the next morning ("My life is so out of control right now!" "Uh-huh."). I got the same song and dance about him being kicked out of the house by his GF, he lost his job and just needed to start over, blah-blah-blah. The $500 I paid him was going to go a long ways in helping him out. "Thanks Brother." Everything I have read here all adds up about this cat. I wish I had more personal info on him, but I don't. He was driving a dark blue Civic at the time with Washington plates. The deal we had included some brand new skins. Well, wouldn't you know, he forgot them. "I'll send them to you, buddy." You guessed it, I never saw the skins. I feel your pain. Good luck.
  10. I'll check. Thanks!
  11. Does anyone know a company or individual that repairs this fabric? I put a 4" tear in my MHW Belay Jacket and I want to have it repaired by someone that has some experience as opposed to me just sewing or ironing a patch over it. Thanks
  12. Update?
  13. Let's just all go back to carabiner brakes, gold line, arm rappels and the dulfersitz. And you'd better not own a harness. It's diaper slings for you! I'm with Ken.
  14. Here is Amar's take on skiing Jefferson. Also you can look for TR at Turns-All-Year
  15. Some of the finest meth-tail skid row has to offer. 8D
  16. Another problem they have is if you aren't careful the rope can twist and roll around toward the smaller ring and completely lock up on you. If it's a free rappel and you have no way of taking the weight of the rope, you could be really stuck. Of course they make the version that has the little wings coming out the top to prevent this. But I still don't use them.
  17. Wad it up and ram it up a duck's ass. Turfukin'.
  18. PMR used to have a report on their main page within a day or so of any mission they were called out on. But I haven't seen one for months. Those were always helpful to get the first-hand account of what really happened as opposed to most media reports.
  19. As for punishment, his career (what there is of it) will suffer. Do the two guys that were screamed at, which have retained attorney Gloria Allred to represent them deserve any money, absolutely not.
  20. What's more, this happened Friday night. It wasn't until Monday and the video appeared that he felt compelled to apologize. We're all repentant when we're caught red-handed.
  21. I understand that Doc lives here in Portland and works up at OHSU. Chad, you work up there don't you? Do you know this cat?
  22. Perhaps we should lock this thread and and move on. If necessary, begin a new one. Thank you John. Your contributions and efforts mean a lot more than you probably realize.
  23. Thermogenesis. December 31st.
  24. Yeah, the Yellow Jacket Trail still exists. The snow might be a little thin in spots, but it might be worth a day at the mountain.
