I had this a long time ago and it eventually went away. No specific treatment though. I do make sure I have good running shoes with good arch support. Stretching is also important, both calf and those towel stretches. I wonder what Layton's take is?

Perhaps it's because he only does multi-day trips now.

Not in Hillsboro per se, but there is a good set of stairs leading up to the VA from Terwilliger. They're about 1-2 miles up the hill on the right from the gas station. I'm not 100% on this, but I think you can run the stairs in the US bank tower, and the stairs in the Wells Fargo tower. You may have to explain yourself to security, but I beleive they'll let you do it.

I think burning would be the worst way to die. Drowning, might cause panic at first, but not the pain that accompanies burning. Hopefully this cat was conscious enough over the last several days to really evaluate whether it was all worth it.
