Avanti does offer a layaway plan, but neither Avanti or Pratt accept downpayments. I love it when you get all serious about your ego n' shit... did you guys know dwayner has a PhD?

flying accounts for less than 2% of global emissions.

you kidder you. i inadvertently almost FA'd a 13b after two bottles of czech beer. i think you could be a functioning alcoholic and still rp 5.13 or 5.14. like a 6 pack a day kind of thing. mebbe more. half rack even. so there. and i appreciate your passion regarding long trad. fun stuff.
-
rudy, that's nothing. friend comes home to find fence taken down, and tree company up in a tree in his back yard hacking away. tells 'em to come down, they laugh at him. calls cops, they show up and say there's nothing they can do. civil matter. they took down 5 trees. i might have grabbed a shot gun. if i owned one. which is what i suggest you do.
-
now that's fuckin funny (and it has nothing to do with your height, rudy).

? where would be the fun if you already knew you'd send a particular route (grade)? sounds like dwayner with his 5.13's. nice 2 cents, but what's cool about climbing is that you can get siked about whatever aspect you want (actually this has nothing to do with what's cool about climbing!) . i've done pretty much all the varieties of climbing, be it aid, wall, trad etc etc, but what i always come back to is sport and bouldering, cuz that's what gets me in the end. it's what i remember. actually i remember being benighted on particular wall climbs quite well, and although it has its charm, it's not something i'm running out to repeat. and haston onsiting 13d 14a crack? shit, you don't have much appreciation for the sport you're engaged in if you don't appreciate that! that's like playing basketball and not appreciating (understanding?) pistol pete maravich, or steve nash; like being into chess and not appreciating (understanding?) bobby fischer; gymnastics and not appreciating the chinese dude who effed up the rings in the last olympics. maybe it's the alcohol?
-
fuuuuuckkk yeah! that's badass. fully inspiring.
-
To climb means to ascend. exactly. everything else is just conceptual identity seeking. you're a "climber" while you are actually engaged in the act of "climbing"; everything else is just conceptuaql carry-over baggage. and even if one adopts the silly moniker of "climber", it has nothing to do with what type of climbing one does.

so did you actually try to train and fast at the same time? i read interesting stuff about some norwegians i think who partook of some weight training and a 10 day fast, and actually increased muscle mass in the trained area.

weird. the "artist" in question: In 1984, at the age of 38, the artist participated in a 15-minute celebrity "Aerobathon" to raise funds for the American Heart Association. Afterwards, he was found dead in his car, and doctors determined by autopsy that he had suffered a heart attack.[2]

i haven't. like a fool, i couldn't recognize fine art when i saw it. i still suffer from this condition. aliens and shit. oh lord.

You just described 90% of the posters here, including yourself. you're not like that; you're a nice kitty.

You just described 90% of the posters here, including yourself. jb isn't like that (but his taste in art products is a little off).
-
rad man, nothing like sales to establish the validity of one's product. cue wal-mart comparison. popularity contests definitely tend towards the establishment of fine products; hell, it's the american way. and with your 5 sales, holy.....look out, ummm who the heck was that graphic designer doing woman posters in the '80's?

dude, tvash himself is a metaphor for atheism. with him in existence, i have a hell of a hard time believing in an intelligent creator.
-
that seems logical, but what does it mean.
-
well what about the field. is it a hundred yard field or hundred meters.

explanation of my retort: what is to be called "art"? does everything (if properly "framed") qualify? (to me, the "framing" can be as interesting (or more so) as the "object" itself, but that's another discussion.) the problem i have with it is the same problem i have with tvash in general (on-line): an over-bearing display of "self", lacking in any subtlety. i don't like being hit over the head with someone's opinions any more than i like being hit over the head with a 50 pound study in over-wrought pretentiousness masquerading(?) as "art". he seems to wield everything (ideas, "art") like a neanderthal's club, smashing away in a fit of testosterone. monster truck art. trailer park art. wal-mart art with no self-recognition(?). but fuckin-a, he's having fun! seems to, at least. don't matter shit what i think: i gotta hand it to him that at least he's engaged and "creating" some "thing", however hideous it may be. more power to him. seriously. hell yeah. like fo sho.

is the cfl football the same size as the nfl football?
-
what is the longest cfl game ever?

i'm an agnostic. and an atheist.
-
hey don't flatter yourself buddy. i've seen your "art".

i'm not sure what extremes you speak of; i think i'm simply saying that to climb at a certain level takes a lot of practice or training or whatever the hell you wanna call it....commitment i guess. trying hard blah blah blah. an di don't think i said having some beers and food makes one a fat slob, did i. this is sounding silly now. shit, who cares what someone else does. if it inspires ya great, if it doesn't, great. a great thing about this life thingy is that we're pretty free to go for it in our own way, finding inspiration wherever we do. personally i'm quite interested in what someone who climbs 9a at 52 does. it's quite revealing (of a number of things!) to see the level of commitment.
