  1. oh i'm sure he'll be able to dig up a couple of cases. two or three. in the last decade. or two. certainly. it happens all around you sometimes.
  2. at least I stick with one avatar ja, flexibility was never a characteristic of russians.
  3. from ruskie, to mexican, to french. no wonder he seems so confused half the time.
  4. I know I know: You turned into a ruskie. *yawn*. never been a russkiy. do you call mexicans "spaniards"? you turned into a mexican? they don't seem jaded though....
  5. Hi Cocoa, how's life? life is excellent, if not a wee bit hectic with an active 8 month old.
  6. I know I know: You turned into a ruskie.
  7. you're too jaded. you were young once, right? what happened?
  8. so the government of france has dropped all protest over the extradition procedures. they think that the matter (rape of a 13 year old) is serious enough that 30 years does not erase it. after having read the specifics of the case, it seems to me that mr. polanski needs to face his past. he has run from it for 30 years now.
  9. you make the assertion, you do the homework, friend. but i'll make it easy on ya: just list three of your best examples.
  10. indeed, because, through the many examples of government impositions on business and cultural activities that JayB will now tout out in support of his paranoias, all will be revealed. All Will Be Revealed. ALL WILL BE REVEALED!
  11. Your lack of respect for the market borders on treason, a charge punishable by death in the more advanced capitalist nations.
  12. indeed, although i don't know if i'd recommend throwing molotov cocktails around without the proper training.
  13. First Hussein's speech to school children, and now This: The Take-over Continues
  14. not to mention overt politicization.
  15. pedophile.
  16. not too serious.
  17. oh the humanity.
  18. where's the party?
  19. or what if they knew kung-fu or something?
  20. what if they were bigger than you?
  21. then don't buy from those corporations, silly. everyone knows it's the consumer who's in charge. funny tid-bit on the news yesterday: corporate interests talking about how the citizens weren't on board with some resource extraction scheme in india. corporate dude: "we need a tv in every household!".
  22. ? please explain the constitutional violations committed by a US government that allows for increased public access set-asides on public airwaves.
  23. "forget all the bs you're spewing"? why i've never been so offended in my life. now that i'm over it, i'll say that i don't know enough about the case to make an informed opinion; my soliloquies were more about the pavlovian response i saw in many of the posts. and quite honestly, i'm not interested enough in the case to dig up all the particulars about what happened 40 years ago. and to answer your previous ?, about what i would do if it had been my daughter: i cannot, as can no one, say what they would do in a hypothetical situation. we might like to THINK we know exactly what we'd do (witness bug's travels to france and kkk's purchase of fire-arms), but in reality, it's all speculation and potentially bluster. i'd like to think i'd, as a non-christian, say a prayer for patience and wisdom, and not turn myself into a murderer, for one thing.
  24. call tvash. he always seems to have a handle on it.
  25. actually, no. your irony detector is broken. and further, some of the most outraged here freely defend the daily rape of our children by "the market", all in the name of ummm a "free" market.
