  2. I fucking love these skis. just got a pair of the 73 shamans and they kill whitey! i put a pair of the new dynafits on um and its a really nice light pow ski! im 6'6" and am 185. i wouldnt want them shorter or longer-they purfekt. get sum...seriously
  3. damn...sorry to hear that! same thing happened to me in the n. end but minus all the climbing gear. I walked out of my house ski's in hand ready to go up to rainier and looked up and down the block and my car was no where to be found I ended up getting the car back...it still drove but it was trashed, my favorite part was the "till the wheels fall off" which was wrote with some huge marker across the dash. I will keep in an eye out for the gear, and best of luck to yah.
  4. hey blake, im going to be mounting up a new pair of dynafits as soon as my new icelantic skis get here. ive mounted a few pairs and have all the neat-O drill bits and plastic fill hole deals...if you can wait a week or two you could head up to glacier and i could hook yah up!
  5. thanks porter...i remember seeing you in the crutches. I will say whats up next time i make it to an event. now that rope ups out of the way lets get this f*ckin ski season rolling!!
  6. MVP for the cascades??? nice job megaloblake
  7. thanks for the beers, and nice meeting a couple of you guys...i was one of the anti-social folks there i suppose. Ive never been in that large of a group with everyone talking about climbing before. wish i could have got out and climbed with some of you, workstinx.
  8. I didnt mean for that comment to sound negative...good ol internet. I really do want to be climbing whatever you are climbing...darrington has some amazing rock! but come on!: we saw gayrobots on top...we were cracking up when we saw that. gotcha "welded" stopper too but dropped one of my own of wolfshead. Headed up one of the cracks on the east side, first picth was rad 5.10- squeeze chimney and then good jams. second pitch took me up to wierd ow cracks to a good sized roof. pulled through the roof to a really thin crack. 11+ climbing on rps for about twenty feet lead me to a bail piton and the crack welding shut. one bolt and it would be a proud line! i dont have the guide book, but we were off route of the 5.11 route on the e side. it goes right to escape the roof and it wasnt obvious when i was climbing. had we had the book with us we mighta made it up, but we were just adventure climbing.
  9. sold me! im climbing down there next year!!
  10. dan got the crux pitch for sure, it felt 10- to me...although my rope stretcher on the 5.9 loose roof up on the upper headwall with no pro and the rope drag that felt like i was dragging dan up behind me left me wanting to puke and or cuttle up in the fetal position and cry. Slesse is a pretty mountain. Were likeminded steph, i just got back from the winds too! watcha climbing next??
  11. I wana be climbing whatever your climbing if you werent stoked on this route shapp! i just got back from FoF and the winds and i thought this route was amazing! classic moderate goodness!!
  12. dood, ur pm's are full blake. Wana goto index tomorrow?? give me a call if you get this before I wake up in the morning and call you. I might sleep late if nobody calls me. I sent dan-o a msg too...im up for whatever, but index would be neat.
  13. I was just browsing the aaj's online and ran across this: "In July, Peter Croft completed the amazing feat of traversing the entire Stuart Range in a single day. He began at daybreak by soloing the complete north ridge of Mount Stuart, then headed eastward, climbing Sherpa, Argonaut, Colchuck, and Dragontail Peaks. He hiked out through the Enchantment Lakes climbing the west ridge of Prusik Peak along the way, reportedly reaching the Snow Lakes parking area just as darkness fell." I remembered your tr from this and figured i would throw it in here. nice work man! big shoes to fill
  14. sweet! after seeing john's tr for this a few years ago i have been itching to get on it ever since then. We were planning on stopping in idaho to snag this one on our way to the winds in a few weeks...you dont make it sound as fun as he did, but i still am going to get on it got any pics??
  15. not sure exactly where i lost it but maybe around ingalls or in the parking lot...its a orange petzl...beer reward??? thanks aaron.
  16. get any pics of teh two guys on razorback ridge that day??
  17. depends on your definition of a "day" -car to car with no bivy gear...anything is possible
  18. start early and finish early. thats just a guess on what it might do, who really knows...hopefully it snows a little here and there and some waterfalls freeze up for a day or two Dan and Blake...details doods, how far did you guys get, what did you guys get to climb??
  19. it sure wasn't the van, that thing is a lady killer! sounds like fun climbing.
  20. hey i recognize you two from worthleavin this spring, nice send jens and max! lets go climb0rin in ze alpine sometime yah?! -aaron (tall carpenter guy that you ran into a lot this past spring)
  21. radness dan-o on the crux ridgester what a great climb! its too bad about the accident and i have thought about it a lot the past couple days. I learned that my communication skills are as bad in the mountains as they are in the city and i apologize for kinda taking off. I wanted nothing to do with rapping and when talk of it came up i just kinda took off. I thought you would be fine with all those rap anchors everywhere up there (what a mess by the way, we got some of it cleaned up but theres tons o tat.) Anyways, I shouldnt have left without talking about it first...dan, your a fucking tough dood, that shit had to hurt and you didnt complain once! and even offered to carry "a good amount of weight." Blake is a solid climber and remained super level headed about the situation and organized our rescue perfectly, running ahead and scouting out the trail and hooking up a much needed dinner for us as well! This was an amazing climb.
