  1. It's ok, you'll soon get to 15,933 burgers flipped.
  2. 18 months to pay off 9K. Guess that's all to be expected from a useless degree.
  3. How's your career going? Those loans? Fuckwit. Exactly, Captain Obvious.
  4. Yeah, great example of someone changing their mind about the need to own a gun using critical thinking skills and rational judgement over irrational fear. After living here and working all over this city at all hours, I realized pretty quickly that carrying a gun is fucking stupid. The advice here about situational awareness was spot on. Make sense, Kojak? You are a twit, and always will be, comrade.
  5. Pretty much spot on. I mean if a guy jumps up and down screaming and you notice and reply, you are a stalker? Now that's delusional.
  6. Do I hear a note of sarcasm? Throw some poop at his almajesty, it usually give me a quick laugh... I guess I missed out on a lot of excitement here while missing out on the clear skies and supposed lack of precip elsewhere
  7. Nice fucking weather forecast for Snoqualmie Pass today. Fucking spot on. Fuckers.
  8. It's now covered in 12+ inches of recent powder.
  9. You are a smart guy, but drugs or something have addled your brains. Anyways, enjoy your weekend. I'm hoping for ice and no snow slogging.
  10. LOL. How about compared to ummm like when LBJ set out to eliminate it. Compare $ thrown into it and the ROI. Progressives have big ideas and spend a lot of $ but that's about it. Anyways I thought I was clear that it would be good to end on some agreement above? Really, I have not been active in the Scouts for over 25 years - no skin off my teeth what they do. I just don't like bullies and bullying (ACLU and TTK), which is pretty much what the BSA has faced for decades. DenaliDave calls it right - it's good to walk up and challenge a bully.
  11. "progress" LOLZ you think the social world of 1950 is better than today? holy shit, you shoulda grown up in south carolina w/ me, even in the '70s! What you guys want is "progress". Always. Gotta love the propaganda. How's that war on poverty going, BTW? Any progress yet?
  12. "progress" LOLZ
  13. no, i think the organization, despite its historical and modern flaws, can adapt to fight the modern era and serve a very good purpose, and i hope that it does in fact become more open to quote "red dawn," the bsa is "an elite para-military organization," and given that our national armed forces have embraced aethiests and boy-lovers of all stripes, i'm pretty sure the wussed-out version can too As I suspect, you just want to fling shit their way to see what sticks so the argument can be "all this talk of moral standards is bogus, so drop the pretense and let in everyone" I will agree that the BSA is a bit too quasi-military for my taste and some of the stuff they do seems kind of ghey in retrospect. We did have a very nice camp owned by the local scouts up in the High Sierras. All in all I got to spend about 8 weeks up there over a few years, and it helped get me pretty hooked on the alpine environment.
  14. thus his deep fascination w/ early nazism, which was riddled w/ boy-buggers so clearly, knowing this horrific background, you reject the BSA and would rather nobody joins rather than adjust their participation req'ts to be more open, right?
  15. hmm...pretty sure the aclu ain't part of the governmetn, just a buncha private citizens dedicated to making the government due what it's supposed to, by the rules. Yeah, 'cos nobody ever just caves in because of a prohibitively expensive law suit (or set of law suits over decades) from a bunch of social engineering types. And never mind lobbyists, or lawyers twisting things the way they want over decades to realize an agenda.
  16. Who said the gov't was going after them? Social Engineering Thugs come in many forms, but mostly manifest themselves as Lawyers and/or members of the ACLU
  17. 9?? That would be Cub Scouts jesus, whatever, it's all the same organization. i did the gambit from age 7ish to 17, and the religious part did in fact help push me away... Well, I remember nothing at all about religion in the Cub Scouts. It was all about what amounted to "play dates" with your friends, and if you were lucky home-made cookies from your Den Mother. Yeah, that and the Pine-Wood Derby.
  18. Let's end on some common ground, tovarishch
  19. 9?? That would be Cub Scouts
  20. or the call to "bravery" is to stand up to social engineering thugs like yourself that try to force YOUR view of morality on an organization who views things differently.
  21. People have been saying that for at least 30 years w/r/t gays and atheists in Scouting, and Scouting still exists. My point is not that you can't change them, however, if you know the organization requires a faith in a higher being, you join anyways, than make a big deal about being an atheist and complain about how the Scouts will not allow this, then you should not be surprised to be kicked out. Moreover, if you just go with the flow, most likely you'll be able to participate because there are very few times you'll be grilled on your belief in God - at least that was my experience, YMMV
  22. drug, not druk sorry, i was channeling alex's pronuciation A role model? Pronunciation is close enough, but translieration rules are a bit different, tovarish. At first I thought you meant "moy drunk". LOL

  24. You know what I'm talking about Rob. But have your fun. Person 1: I'm agnostic/atheist, and I want to be in the scouts. Most of the time it never comes up. Well, pretty much never. So, I pick my battles and enjoy the experience there since it is 99.99% about things other than religion Person 2: I'm a loud-mouthed obnoxious ass. I know the Scouts require to profess a faith in some God, so I'll openly, constantly raise a stink about it. Are you person 2, Rob? I know TTK is.
  25. He is a white guy. I consider Middle Eastern folks to be white, don't you? I mean, if not, what color are they? Just curious.
