Going home in Index is a pretty fun trip after the floods, so I thought I'd show a quick update.
My efforts begin with a well-planned idea to drag my bike through the river so I can avoid walking the last couple of miles in my waders. In my backpack is my cowering dog.
We see a cool Kodak moment type photo opportunity and seize the shot
The road gets a little funky after a while
And then just sorta goes away
At this point, my dog starts getting a little freaked out
Fortunately, my man doesn't. He decides to take this opportunity to make an FA on a brand new boulder problem
That being done, we carry on to where the yellow brick road starts up again
Oh, by now, I've ditched the bike and figured that walking a few miles in waders is easier than dragging that fucker through hell and back. Eventually, the water will recede enough to make the bike thing easier.
Anyone who wants to come by for a Thanksgiving visit is more than welcome. You'll have to chop some wood though.
