Or a bad opinion.

Is that a plumber's wrench in his hand? Hey, he's a lefty!

Power lines rock. I was listening to the news with a friend and the reporters were exclaiming what a mystery it was that this kid survived picking up a live high voltage wire. Didn't everyone learn the difference between voltage and current in high school? I'll bring my chainsaw for the trees.

You must be right. I certainly feel like I'm the same person.

Please reregister under an anonymous avatar. Then you can post all the inane shit you'd like.

I feel the same way, I just phrase it a little differently. When talking about something like this with a person of faith, I can't help but say that my own faith is utterly unaffected by what anyone else says (especially in Spray). And if it were, I would spend my time and effort looking for the reason why; and spend none of my effort on being offended or bothering other people with what is a deeply personal issue. Thanks folks....I was worried that newcomers wouldn't be able to grasp what I meant by echo chamber....nice illustration I'm deeply offended. oh piss off... hello!!!! Look how funny the quote embeded within quotes looks. Anyone wanna ride bikes?

I don't know what you mean by echo chamber.

Maybe I read ClimbingP's post differently, but after the "too stupid" comment, he followed up with his thoughts. Maybe you were referring to some other post on this thread? Aren't most folks on this board doing exactly as you suggest--speaking up?

Yet, you can meet lots of drunks in church!

While I am a believer, I do not support this sentiment. I support the right to free speech and the right to be non-PC in one of the few last public places that welcomes it. CC.com respects the right to be disrepectful (in my opinion).

Where the hell were you? No one suggested that they pay for their own rescue.

No kidding; he wasn't even referring to the dress. Look at the knob on that thing!!

It is amazing to me that anyone would compare one type of health related to another as if those are our choices. If you look at last year's budget, you will see that the money spent on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education are less than half of what we spend on Defense. Where are our priorities? We are willing to spend twice as much to kill someone than we are willing to spend on saving someone? I just don't get it.

Is a climber's life somehow worth less than a non-climber's life? Is it worth less than a premie born addicted to crack? Is it worth less than someone who has to be cut out of their car after a horrible accident? How does one calculate this? What is the cutoff amount? Who decides? What if it were your child? Your husband? Your brother who were lost up there? How much would they be worth? How would you feel if while they were looking for your loved one others were discussing the economics of that person?

In the majority of the world, and through the majority of history, the main cause of death to women is childbirth. And although they can eliminate this risk by eliminating the behaviors that lead to pregnancy, they choose not to. This is ultimate risk taking behavior. So please, don't relegate risky behavior to genetics. I think if you widen your definition of risk, you will soon find that women partake in many, many risky behaviors everyday--ones that they could easily pay for with their lives. Climbing just happens to be marketed mostly to men; but that is changing. I think over the next ten years, the ratio will continue to shrink rapidly; much more quickly than "evolution" would explain.

Hang tough, buddy!

The cool thing about having a law against going climbing in bad weather is that whenever the weather reporters are wrong and it results in someone getting stuck in a storm we can sue the weather reporter!!! Should I call the Bar Assoc and get started on this?

I like your pic choice for your signature. Is that you? Are you holding onto a runner with your left hand, the rope with your right hand, wearing socks under your climbing shoes all while on TR? Right on sporto!!! Life is a browneyeblink
