  1. Why wouldn’t you use the face holds at the bottom? Why would a climber contrive it to be just the crack when other holds are within reach? why climb? Very provocative question…..how about another question? Why post on this site Why try to reason with an idiot?
  2. Or Big Five, but they never seem to know what is going on.
  3. You can also just go to your local Fred Meyer's and get it at the help counter.
  4. xx years of no career.
  5. Oh, and I am planning on getting an offroad bike, so I am following this issue with interest.
  6. Funny enough, I was on a borrowed Harley for a while and got pulled over and got a talking to about the noise. It was a noisy bike (aftermarket pipe). I registered 95 dB at acceleration. Oops. My own bike (now sold) was not nearly as loud, but it was only a 400 (Rebel) and even with a small hole in the pipe I didn't break any sound barriers or anything.
  7. The heads of my enemies
  8. Be sure that if you do plan on hunting or fishing this year (April 1) to get that permit and your parking permit will be included with that purchase.
  9. I have a dB reader that you are welcome to borrow if you don't have your own. I've taken it riding before to learn how to gauge the noise of my bike. It is a good exercise to go through--maybe you have already done so?
  10. he he he you said "Depends"
  11. Rocky Mountain Oysters, the other white meat. Hey, I'm from Montana--home of the Testicle Festival.
  12. I can't tell you how much time that saves in the selection process.
  13. He was probably a sport climber back in the day.
  14. So I was at a cheapo asian food restaurant/cafe thingy in Ballard and in walks this drunk who must have just successfully panhandled enough money for a little of the old won ton soup. He was unwashed and disheveled. In his hand was an opened wine box with the spout sticking out. Classic.
  15. I'm there.
  16. Let's see people like to get fucked up and drunk sometimes. And that usually mean fights, pissing in the street, lots of noise, and shit that I don't want in my neighborhood. No matter what happens to Timmay's people are going to find a place to do this shit. This place closes or moves, the shit is still going to happen some place, to me it is better that it stays where it is at, like you said you can't expect quiet living in the U District, but it sounds like that is what you want. Also I think it is better to have areas that this shit happen so that it somewhat contained and spread out all over the city. So stop fucking whinning and just move, already! The only thing you will accomplish by closing them or having them move is having all that crap happen in some other area. Part of what contains this is that there are more males in their 20's in the U district because it is close to the U, no? I am sure there are many pockets of nastiness everywhere, but maybe this one could be dispersed a little. If you don't get too many schmucks together, violence is less likely to break out. But wtf do I know, I'm no cop.
  17. Not to defend the bill, but only to take a look at this one point. I think that even when you are on your own property, you must be respectful of your neighbors within reason. I am not saying folks aren't allowed to run around naked and howl at the moon (as long as you howl under xx dB), but taking the neighbors into consideration is a reasonable thing to add to an ordinance.
  18. And there was much less *speculating* going on. It was fabulous.
  19. It's been nice, the average IQ level soared while you were gone.
  20. e·go /ˈigoʊ, ˈɛgoʊ/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ee-goh, eg-oh] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun, plural e·gos. 1. the “I” or self of any person; a person as thinking, feeling, and willing, and distinguishing itself from the selves of others and from objects of its thought. The only bitching going on here is yours.
  21. I *love* that movie!!!!
  22. Yeah, I hate those yuppie places that don't have gunshots and violence when the bars close.
  23. Not only that, but there are generally some laws around quiet hours, aren't there. And as for moving in next to a bar--hey, he is renting an apt. What, you think someone should case the place every night for a week to see if there is a party night on your block? I think it is reasonable to expect quiet after 2am. Just saying...
  24. I'll tell you what I wish I'd had. A gun. We saw so many bears in the lower valley. Scary. But hey, have fun.
  25. Does this mean I don't get to pee into the canon?
