If you are getting a black screen with white wording that says it doesn't recognize your OS, then you need to fix your boot sectors. You can get a utility that does this for you. If you need this info, I'll send it to you on whatever computer you are on now. PM me if you still need it. Do not PM me if there is smoke coming out the back of the computer.

Found this out there, LLC have been pierced in past. although it doesn't look like a tax issue. http://www.firstam.com/content.cfm?id=2906 Thanks for this--I'm gonna give it a read. I just eat stuff like this up. In another life I'll become a tax lawyer. Isn't that disgusting? It actually interests me a great deal.

what kind of computer do you have? What OS?

I don't remember anything for years after college. Took a while for the veil of alcohol to wear off.

That would, of course, depend on how the company had been set up. If it was an LLC, LLP, or C corp, they gov't could not go after personal assets.

and, having googled on the subject, did you ask yourself the same question many a man might have asked? why in the fuck name yourself after a ball-less, brain-less bird? Well, UCI named themselves after the Bannana Slug. I always admired them for that.

Agreed. But remember that the longer one doesn't pay, the larger the amount owed becomes. And the larger the penalties. And the IRS does charge interest on amount and penalties owed. It used to be 12%, but it has probably gone up from there. They are happy to seize your assets if your income doesn't cover your debt. It is a risky game to play.

And they operate under the "law" entitled "The Sixteenth Amendment"

This is changing. The IRS just hired a lot of new people two years ago and are ramped up to audit like crazy. I believe their new numbers show that 1 in 7 will be audited.

WTF...I dont want to pay for Bushes war. They don't care what your political beliefs are. At least file even if you don't pay. They will get the tax from you and less pentalties if you at least file. The game can go on for a while but you will pay. Nice article on it. http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=taxresist17&date=20070417&query=tax Well said. There are a lot of things I wish I didn't have to support either, but it is not my choice where the money goes at the federal level. And I mean that I don't get to pick and choose each year where I want my money to go--although that would be nice. But Seahawk is right--you have to pay no matter what your beliefs are.

No sweetie, it's the law. And besides that, where do you think the money comes from to set aside the parks we climb in? The roads we drive on? The schools we go to? The libraries we borrow from? The skateparks for kids? And on and on. If you don't want to pay to be a part of society, fine. But then don't use ANY of the benefits that people get as a result of paying taxes.

I, too, am happy to see more habitats protected (although I don't consider managed logging as a threat, I do agree that much of our land is under too much stress to stay healthy). I sort of think that your first concern, the ad hoc management, attenuates your second concern--outlawing activities. If they don't patrol it, they won't ticket it. Of course, this still causes issue for law abiding citizens. Having tootled around in this area a bit, I am happy to say that one can indeed hike, climb, and fish in the area as is. However, there is a great deal of wildlife, generally the kind people don't like to run into. I wonder what would happen to this wildlife if we were to build trails, have a bunch of people back there, ride bikes and whatnot back there. I bet you the first person who gets fido killed by a big cat will throw a fit and have a million signs put up (like those ridiculous signs at Smith. Come on!). I didn't used to feel like this, but the older I get and the more I see the more I think its fine to have land set aside that is simply not that accessible. If you can get through the land on your own two feet, well, more power to you. If you can't, tough shit. I know that may sound elitist or uncaring or non-inclusionary, but that's the direction I am starting to go in.

I've been thinking. And I realized that we need sprayers like this to stay. Why? Well, there are some uses for them. For example: Parking your car on them. Sending them to war so they get killed instead of real people. Medical testing (they're stupid like animals; just knock them out and give them a shot.. they won't know what happened) Using them for ammo. We should pack them into missiles and launch them over towards Iraq. The stupidity is potent enough to make any enemy surrender. Target practice. Hamburgers (They want to be in touch with nature, so what better way than to be digested and used as fertilizer?) Decorations. Add color to your yard with a few idiots impaled on your fence (Dracula style). Idiots make great scapegoats. Bad day at work? Famine? Plague? Cancer? Blame it on the idiots. They are always good for kicking. They are fun to tease (good for laughs when you're bored) Raw sewage storage (doughheads will eat anything). Idiots, especially drunk idiots, are flamable and make for great campfire fuel. They are great for mixing with cement and throwing off bridges. I am sure there are a lot more fun, practical, and useful suggestions out there. These are just a few. I like to stay on the sunny side of life.
