As of Sun morning: - SilverB area was dry but the routes to the right of it were still seeping. - White Rabbit and Birds were dry but the the crack climbs left of that were wet. Elisif is out there now... I think she will have an update later. In other news: A few "climbers of interest" (see: sponsored athletes) are going to be in town this week... I expect we will be getting beers Thursday night at a location yet to be determined so if you are interested in hanging out with some very cool people who happen to climb very hard shoot me a pm

Why, I live in Washington?? Because it sets precedent. I'll take a wild guess here but I'd bet anyone a beer the law will go in and a few more rescues will happen by parties in over their head over the next few years but somehow the media will spin the new law as an overall "success". Some punters will do the same thing on Baker or Rainier or some other gumby magnet and guess what... the State of Washington will follow suit. Just a guess though It's the same shit with Hyalite... just because you don't climb there doesn't mean it doesn't affect you... the FS figures out they can pull a fast one on the MT climbing community... why couldn't they do it somewhere else? Somebody do me a favor tonight at the lucky lab and personally thank the kids for indirectly supporting the MLU law and not giving any money to the access fund.

Source? So far, no one has cited a creditable source for this information. I didn't see any mention on Patagonia about it, and Mr. Potter and Mrs. Davis-Potter are still listed as Ambassadors. Perhaps this thread belongs in Spray. It hasn't been announced to the public yet... it was only communicated last week internally so unless you are affiliated with Patagonia to some degree you wouldn't know. I can understand with the nature of this board how this might be perceived as a troll. I would say look at my post history on cc and decide for yourself I spend my time trolling or writing TRs.

We carried out 2 dana design expedition sized packs each filled with gear (I carried one, marcus the other). Unless Cristina had 2 packs with her for the trip someone else ditched their gear. Related to that talking with the owners it is my current understanding a third pack is still up there that Marcus and I did not find.

No need to turn this into a witch hunt people. Learn from others mistakes... we all make them... we are all human. The much bigger concern here is access and how events like these can and likely will decrease ours. I hope you all are Access Fund members and are active within your climbing community including doing what you can to correct public opinion on MLUs (among other concerns currently affecting the climbing community)... write a letter to the editor, send an email, etc etc... it all helps!
