  1. Some young bucks that started climbing in the mid-90's remarked about the diamond-c on some of my gear, "hey, that's a total rip-off of the BD logo!" I whipped out a couple of gear slings with Great Pacific Iron Works tags on 'em and gave the fellas a 15-second history lesson. Wanna sell any of that chouinard/GIPW stuff?
  2. Sat 3/25/06: PDX drytooling anyone? Rocky Butte or the new area (if it is still there ) Flexible times... I'd also be down for driving out to Horsethief in the afternoon... NOAA predicts 20% chance of rain...
  3. Headed to Smith Sat night; climb all day Sunday. PM me if interested in carpool. 4 going so far.
  4. Yellow shoes + job that doesn't have a dress code + long weekend of climbing in yellow shoes + flip flops on Monday = everyone at work thinks you have jaundice. Even more fun are red shoes. Everyone thinks your feet are bleeding
  5. FYI for those of you with a bionic toe, are inbred, are missing toes or any other number of reason your feet are different sizes Evolv will let you buy each shoe of a pair in a different size... you have to do it special order but it beats buying two pairs of shoes.
  6. Hey Jon! Are these ads similar to google in that you (cc.com) only gets paid if one of us clicks the link? Would it be advantageous for cc.com if we all made a habit out of clicking on one say... every time we post or something?
  7. Did you see the pics of the new spot I email you?
  8. Sat morning *if* the weather improves. Will make the call Thursday afternoon/evening... I can PM you once I know Anybody else looking to carpool holla!
  9. You know (or I would hope you and everyone else would know that) I am always interested in climbing just about anywhere with anyone... I need dates though.
  10. Hey! I said that the thread was not about hookers!
  11. Red Rocks If you ever need a place to stay in PDX hit me up
  12. A crew of us are headed to smith Sat morning if the weather improves or holds. If not local action.
  13. Updated weekly: Drytool in the winter... rock climb in the summer. Generally updated weekly as new events become available. Don't hesitate to use this thread to see who is available.
  14. PM me if you head into Phoenix/AZ I will be in RR back half of next week
  15. Use the TR Index and search "Mt Rainier" Summitpost.org should have some good pics too.
  16. Yup. The roof is even more impressive. I will never be able to climb that
  17. Pics from a normal snow year taken in late May. Link
  18. Ummm... what are you hoping to see? The thing is going to be white. It will look like it does this time of year in a normal snow year.
  19. But I need the cover of darkness to finish the route development at the new spot! Ah... you can't have it both ways...
  20. Par for the course
  21. Now everyone understands the real reason Mikey medicated before the approach to NST
  22. Make sure to preheat them
  23. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to climb with Ivan just read this thread over and over non stop for the number of hours you would expect to approach the route. This will give you a fairly good idea. Here's to you my tall talkative friend
  24. And I'm sure all PDX climbers are waiting breathlessly for you to do this for them. How have they survived without your organization!?!?! Be nice, John is great guy to hang with and everybody down here likes him. Unlike a lot of folks around here, dude really gets out and climbs! CBS, nobody leaves the webbing, Johns would use it to wipe the dripping slimy spoage off after they finish up. Edited to add: Nice job getting out and getting some Knottygirl. Look Bill! You caught one! They are very very hard to catch... the mysterious and sly "Pax stealth edit"!!! Notice how the two posts differ!!! And I'm sure all PDX climbers are waiting breathlessly for you to do this for them. HOW HAVE THEY SURVIVED WITHOUT YOU!?!?! We're counting on you NOLSEY! Yo Pax! (then again maybe Paxil might be more appropriate ) Why all the hate brother? I've been staying out of all your threads ever since the Album of 2005 thread beration (I noticed you went back and edited it out)... why the hate? Don't tell me you dislike me for starting and maintaining a thread for local PDX climbers to come out and climb together... do you? If so make sure you go hate on weekendclimber and Off White... they have threads too! No body is saying PDX climbers were lost before I showed up... we are just trying to get some stoke going here for spring.
  25. Well at least the Seattle monorail will help reduce these traffic problems once it's completed.
