  1. I'm looking for some 170cm skis I can use primarily for backcountry stuff around the NW, some inbounds as well. I'll be mounting Silvretta 555 bindings using Scarpa Lasers. Anyone got some old sticks sitting around gathering dust?
  2. Smith?
  3. Thanks Bob, I think i'll be up [to Stehekin] in January for some skiing.
  4. It looks like I'll be living in New Zealand (South Island) from Feb-June of '06. I'm really excited for the flyfishing, skiing and climbing. Anyone have any specific routes, climbing areas, or other NZ advice to give? Thanks a lot.
  5. A guy I know uses old carabiners, runners, old ropes etc. for everything from laundry lines to swings for children.
  6. I'll take the mythos i'll pm you my address
  7. Peanut Sauce Yes, Thai Tom hands down, especially when Tom is working the 'Little Thai Express'.
  8. Rafe, i'm intersted in trying, sounds like a blast. email me or PM me here. blake%%%herrington@g%%%%mail.com remove the %%% to email me.
  9. I did, but this whole crazy running activity sounds pretty great too. Sounds like what we do when: A. its late, we're offtrail, and don't want to epic. B. There's an angry bear nearby.
  10. I have a brand new, never placed, never even carried Grey alien. Bought it a couple weeks ago and it has sat in my closet since then. I really need a piece slightly larger.(between red alien and 1(red) camalot.) If anyone has a .75 BD I'd trade it. IF you were planning on buying a grey alien, buy the .75 camalot instead and trade, and i'll pay the difference.
  11. I'm not following here, anyone care to elaborate?
  12. Holy
  13. I'll take the tricam ( pinky ) Both of the ortovox beacons ($225 for both?) DMM revolver ... and whatever john said he wants!
  14. Klenke Said: Dru Said: Maybe MisterE and I can host/mediate a Bellingham Pub-club at The Casa where Dru and Klenke find common ground and respect each other's prodigious spray and slogging abilities. Maybe not.
  15. 1. is your pro generally in-line, or wandery? 2. How much pro you planning on clipping the rope to?
  16. Too bad there aren't more solid 5th class lines on that stuff.
  17. There is a tall skinny one on this shoulder of Devore Peak. It's not visible in the photo though. I didn't get too close to it.
  18. leave a sign out at RB?
  19. They include good karma as can clearly be seen:
  20. jeez, sounds like a dream day, call me next time man!
  21. just go to the lucky lab and keep an ear open.
  22. If people are concerned about the recent work done at Beacon (and online blogging of what has been accomplished) because they feel it will make Beacon too crowded, think about this: should the efforts of Josheph et al lead to the opening up of spring climbing, or of faces currently closed to climbing, that increase in climbable lines could negate any increase in total numbers. For what it's worth, I've climbed at Beacon four or five times in the past year, and seen only Jim Opdyke and a buddy as they watched me flail up a rainy "Free For All." Do you really find yourself waiting for climbs or dealing with big crowds a lot? Joseph, any chance that the BRSP or other knowledgeable group could help asses the stability of that remaining loose boulder atop Young Warriors, Pitch one? A trundle seems in order if possible. (I know you mentioned it may support more rock higher up)
  23. Nice photo Darin, better bring chest waders to get in there now though. Maybe a community tyrolean could be arranged.
  24. PMed
  25. where is it?
