  3. http://www.mountaineersbooks.org/showproducts.cfm?FullCat=6&step=3 says Aug 18th, so I would imagine it should be arriving any time now...
  4. ...and keyword searchable. I heard this was coming a while ago, but Fern just reminded me of it. The most recent Journal is not made available on-line until its successor is printed. The results come in PDF, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader. Pretty cool of them to do this! Subscribe to the AAJ if you can afford it. http://www.americanalpineclub.org/AAJO/

  6. Excellent thought. I think I'll go out on the front porch and let off a primal scream myself right now.
  7. Wow...sound perfect in every way! I'd love to do some climbing in the Alps. Will have to check out your pics later.
  8. No doubt I'm lucky to climb with Jeff. To be clear, what I mean is I want to be able to follow the Sword cleanly.

  18. I will, but gotta get ready for that sword pitch. I don't want to totally flail up it...just minor flailing would be much better. Still recovering...
  19. Apron strings first pitch definitely is fun to climb. Overall, I do have to admit I like the Upper Town Wall setting better though just because it is a little more rural...and also because I'm an Index homer. But the rock quality is another topic, and I can't wait to get up to the Pillar.
  20. if you build a set of wings using feathers and wax, don't fly to close to the sun either. there is documented evidence that this can be dangerous.
  21. also watch out for "grey market" goods...items manufactured and perhaps identical to items meant to be sold in the US...but the warranty will have to be honored who whoever sold it to you (not the manufacturer). another piece of advice: do not submerge your new camera (when you get it) under water for longer than 5 minutes without some sort of waterproof containment system. also, don't stare at the sun with your eye naked.
