  1. no worries steven. if you have seen the movie, we still save the muthafucken day.
  2. so, what, yer gonna figure out the answer to a rydberg formula whilst climbing W/O having to write nothing down?!? sport vs trad is like fake tits vs regular tits - does it really matter that much so long as yer balls deep in the whore? Dear Partner, Just to let you know I have screwed a dame that weighs 300 lbs. Your pal, Jim some people are really into that type of thing
  3. its not a bad anology. the question is: would you hit it? if you're at the club and a girl walks up and checks out your size, would you first determine if her breasts were real or not? or would you immediately get on the internet and speculate about the sociological impacts of fake breast implants? or would you just do what is right for the scientific method and be more thorough?
  4. personally i hate it when hyper observant people come to the crag. they're always pointing out how you screwed up and notice when you're french freeing on 5.9. they some how own the place, and if you bugger up their feng shui then they get all menstrual on you.

  6. i submit this as mascot of this thread
  7. love the clapping in that video. or where (is that ozzy?) the lead singer grabs the guitar player by the hair and wrenches him around and you can hear his neck pop

  10. all i can say is if a business like FF puts a policy like that into place, they must be having a bad shoplifting problem (are gangstas finally ditching North Face for a better quality puffy?) I can see how it would put you off, but keep in mind that is is very, very unlikely that FF is just doing it just because they enjoying messing with their paying customers. i think the same could be said for a lot of small companies. a big company like REI might be able to take the shrinkage hit, but a small company like Feathered Friends, it hits closer to the bottom line. they do help sponsor this site, and i'm greatful that they do.
  11. $15 to drive your car in $5 + $2 per person per night (35 total) = $50 to go hiking in the park. crazy to think it wasn't that long ago it was totally free to go into the park (or rather funded differently). i realize this is a "pay if you use it" tax that couch potatoes don't have to pay because they never use the park, but i don't think it will ever sit well with me. for me the park used to be a wild place you could wander into and explore...now it seems like that experience is just another commodity with and entrance fee and a daily charge. i know there are great rangers working there and this helps pay for the up keep of the "resource". it just feels a bit like innocence lost. the spirit of freedom and wildness feels weakened by the daily fee. like its a thing i buy at REI and it has a UPC. as a kid i remember being able to go hiking up there any time without checking in and paying the man. now when i'm going to take my boy hiking in there, we have to feed the meter to get in. they even spend something like 20% on "fee recovery" aka enforcing the fees on people who don't pay the piper. i just wish it was funded as it was before. perhaps there are just too many people visiting/too many people on the earth for that to be a possibility. I guess this is progress, and I can always go to Alaska to find what i'm seeking. /end bitching

  20. Just a "save the date" notice for now. Sept 25-27th. Bridge Creek group campsite. I have one of the more prolific PNW climbers this year lined up for a slide show, and we'll most likely be having some sort of fundraising for helping to buy the Lower Town Wall.
