LOL remember this? [video:youtube]PDMyArnIdzY

It is a interesting perspective to focus on the new perspective rather than going with known quality. I'll admit I don't have the peakbagger mentality. I like adventure, but I think I prefer quality over quantity, esp with the limited time I have to get out these days. Lucky for me, there is a ton of quality climbing to be done in the the NW that I haven't done yet. I'm also not obsessed with putting up FAs as some are either, but thats another topic.

Tyler the Superstar thats who! The Northwests own professional cycling representative for the big tours and classics. A sprinter.

Well, there are a lot of dumber ways to pass your time on earth. Like toiling away at a job so you can buy consumable items. But i'm thinking it is just a case of wanting to explore and see new territory. Also it probably has something to do with obsessive compulsive disorders.

I support all of your in admiration of the hard climbing free soloing woman. I only hope you someday can learn what she has during her free solos. I can't even imagine that kind of spirituality. It must be so intense. The closeness to the earth. The ego obtaining its crescendo of dominance. To own the route. No rope. Simplicity. A camera crew. The whole package is pretty impressive.

Well if you look into my detailed report on the Viking Way, you'll find that it covers those points. Section IV. Paragraph 3 states "All mead must rationed such that all warriors can slake their thirsts after pillaging and looting each village".
-
well read the report then! maybe there is meat in it. anyway, so now we have two items for the Obama Healthcare Idea Box: 1. Health insurance across state lines 2. The Viking Way
-
i have no idea about the report or that org. but just saying you always have a "choice" doesn't mean that such a change won't have a negative effect on the overall ecosystem of healthcare. i haven't read the report, that is just a synopsis. maybe we can get Jay to read and counterpoint on it for us. i don't know how to read.
-
it sounds like its because of the federation of the states... first google hit for me: http://www.newamerica.net/pressroom/2008/across_state_lines_explained_why_selling_health_insurance_across_state_lines_not_answer
-
And how come no one has told Obama about it? Jay may have solved our nations health care problems. We just need to get this idea box in Obama's lap!
-
hhahaha the qouting got all fubar on you jay...now you're qouting me spraying your words i hope they address this in the next version of the board. it got screwed up in the last upgrade (by design) and i hope they change it back to the way it was.
-
so that is the big fix? allow policies to be sold across state lines? explain or link please!
-
lulz that clip is very popular.

Scale is more important than structure? Interesting viewpoint - I hope that you'll expand on this point in more detail. well it can be. if you're attempting to compare what works for a nation of a few hundred thousand (of a certain economic and social make up) to a country of hundreds of million on the other side of the globe with a completely different economic and social make up...thats scale...i don't think you can hardly compare the two. it doesn't even matter what structure they have. maybe that is what the WHO report is doing, but if conclusions one draws from the report don't take the complexity of scale, esp. when the differences are huge (i.e. Malta vs. the US) then structure doesn't even hardly matter.

The major unstated premise here seems to be that, even under conditions of open competition, profits can only be realized by cheating consumers. you're going to the extreme there jay. its not "cheating consumers" its "maximizing share holder value". you see, it isn't all bad...because someone is winning! the shareholder. thats why the corporation exists.
-
plus they have Capitalist Death Executives, instead of spreading the responsibility across a committee.

I heard Montgomery Wick free solo downclimbed it in full winter conditions...just for sport. And do you think he told a soul? Nope.
