  1. sorry if i don't, but perhaps it has to do with the "daily" part of the equation. sorry to kiss your ass, but i do respect that you come here with a different opinion. so yeah, i do notice it more when you bring it up. yes i do hold you to a higher standard. it is because my conversation is with you, and not them. i find it more interesting to talk to someone who holds a different opinion than my own. and don't think you're not a member of your own parish. POT KETTLE BLACK LOLOLOLOL fyi, for me it is more "science" than "religion". I'm not calling it perfect science, but just that fact that what I think continually is called in the question makes me more of a scientist than a religious person. maybe you don't see it that way, but that is definitely my point of view. until you prove me wrong.
  2. i am curious about your definition of "religion" though. please do educate us. does it involve stating the same tired rhetoric over and over again?
  3. thanks bro, but i'm not mad. i actually find great joy in pointing out factual error and textbook psychological issues. so the pleasure is mine. i only hope that you're keeping notes and learning, so you don't make the same mistakes twice. but don't think i won't take great joy the second go around of pointing out how you're wrong.
  4. who gives a shit about the real conversation, especially when you're losing, right? the "tool" insults really help out your argument. so do these guys!
  5. tool, shaft, etc
  6. you're a dick
  7. name calling (from either side of the equation) is a mask. an attempt to distract from the actual argument. and yes, i'm guilty of bringing it up now, when it just happens that fairweather is the guilty party. but it is true either way.
  8. worth saying twice
  9. i'm definitely a not a fan of the lobby industry...but this seems like peanuts when you compare it to the 22 million Costco dropped just to be able to sell hard licker in one state.

  13. failure to refute any of the facts just proves that someone is "drinking the koolaid" and it isn't me.
  14. a more convincing argument about state employees wouldn't focus on the # but the pay that that # was receiving.
  15. i'm fine with a differing opinion about how much government there should or shouldn't be. I also do agree with the idea that politicians should have been more intelligent and realized that the bubble(s) created by the private sector were unsustainable, and that government funding would suffer as a consequence. Fairweather seems to be blaming the down turn in the US (or WA State) economy to rise in public employees! Not a very convincing argument there. The real reasons for our economic downturn are very well documented in bank legers.
  16. Seriously...those are not opinions. Those are facts. And you cannot refute them so you break out the rolleyes.
  17. Refute any of those facts.
  18. just saying, the rise in state employees wasn't out of line with the rise in population. in fact, there was a significant drop in % of state employees to the population. the pain being endured by the private sector was caused by the private sector. there will be a decline in state employees, it is happening. after all, there is no money to pay them anymore. this will result in a lower standard of living in the state, unless you're rich enough.
