Lake Powell has been one of those things-to-do for a while! The problem is, it's huge! It takes a day just to get to the cool part of the lake and we just don't have a month to explore. I think that it would be really fun to explore the inside passage/ Coast Range or Vancouver Island for granite.

I bought the Granite family touring kayaks last year and paddling has become a really fun way to enjoy the summers down here. Fishing and snorkeling, camping and swimming, the boats have paid for themselves several times over. Climbing is really fun and I'm thinking about a trip where the shoes and harness comes along. I really don't know what the problem is, Mrs G. is fuckin' fine and she climbs well too. Prehaps you should just spend a month bouldering in Bishop... or as I call it, "the motherland" Tip: get in shape, lest you get sandbagged by the potential mother of your childern

I own an early sample version. Our shop hounded Marmot for years to make one and they gave me one as a gift. Nothing beats it in the winter, put the hood on and then the helmet. Your neck stays toasty without bulk. Great coat, but it is a half zip, a full zip version would be better.

Exactly. Mt. Charleston, 30 minutes from my house. This is the same falls 2 years ago, note the lack of 40 feet of snow nearly covering the ice. We are going to have a near- glacier if the gods bless us with another good winter.

The recient cold weather has created some fine ice climbing in the Spring mountains. We discovered this WI 2 and some super steep ice field climbing. ( think big 4 ice caves at 9,000 feet) Some steeper snow Topping out the discovery

Comon' CJ, tell us how they used to bolt and clean the climbs at I- town in the old days...
