  1. The old Idaho guide from '86 shows these guys belaying from their boat...climbing some stellar looking rock. Does anyone know more about climbing on pend oreille lake?
  2. Kissing rock in Gold Beach Oregon has two three pitch routes on it. One bolted by me about 7 years ago - which also requires some chocks. Very good exposure on top.
  3. You guys are communist - let capitalism plays its course.
  4. Hoping to ski cascadian c. on Stuart and conditions make me think I will be skinning the Teanaway instead of looping around. Any idea how far I would need to skin to the trail head? Anyone have a snowmobile and want to make some money!?!?

She randonee skis and boards and is intermediate - advanced. We live in North Bend We have two kids so we do lots of swapping - so the more she gets out....the more I get out!

  15. That reminds me of these pegs that some British climbers put on the "old man of Hoy" sea stack off of northern Scotland. There is a 5.10 chimney pitch that can only be protected by these huge old wood dowls.....supposedly the same as the ones placed by the first party. Lets fix all the alpin offwidths in the State with wood so that we don't have to carry big heavy cams anymore!!!!
  16. You have got to be kidding me - search the site before posting this!!
  17. Thru-hiker.com is awesome and has all sorts of raw material including down...titanium....and silnylon. What I still can't get my hands on is the new eVent Fabric that all the new single-wall tents will start to your. Check the site link below for the fabrics: http://www.thru-hiker.com/materialsStore.asp?subcat=16-bottom&iLevel=2&txtCatName=2
  18. I have some cams etc...that I would like to have slings replaced on. I would also like to get some custom slings made. Anyone know of a good shop that they use?
  19. I want to drag a friend of mine up this route this weekend and I have conflicting beta, some say that Burdo over rated the crux pitches and it really is only 5.8, others say it is 5.10 at the crux ....some say it is a choss pile..others a diamond in the ruff. Any words to add to the others????
  20. Thanks for the beta.....sounds like I need to get more leepers, mashies and offset aliens.....mmmm gear.
  21. Anyone been on Thin Red Line this season? Is there a lot of fixed gear? Is there some new blank section above the third pitch or something? Thanks for any beta!
  22. You can get them from cheapsnowboards.com for $48
  23. took a good whipper because of a ball nut .....well probably because I suck at aiding.... They are kind-of-hard to look at when placing them high in questionable rock, but when you find a home for them they make you feel warm and fuzzy.
  24. Its just the keeper, look at all the old style belay plates that use a shoelace to keep the device from running off on your rope. no big deal, although it does lower general trust in the equipment!
