  1. I think NorthernMountain.com has BD ST SI on sale (Black Diamond Sabertooth step-in)
  2. Flukes are tough to get placed right. I have never used on (or even brought one) during a climb. I have placed them successfully for practice. Flukes aren't going to be much more effective in sugar snow. They seem to work best in heavy wet snow. My $0.02.
  3. climbing is a sport for cavers who are afraid of depths.
  4. Bellingham is aid.
  5. It's funny that you mention that incident. My buddy was on the hill that day and met Hommer as well as Wickwire at Camp Muir just before they set out to the Cleaver. FYI - he said Wickwire was a dick. -<shrug>-
  6. Hows about this? I've been using this bag and my Bibler bivy almost exclusively this season. Snow, rain, the combo has kept me warm and dry the whole time. It takes a little bit to get used to the lack of a zipper.
  7. Barney's Rubble, Bruce's Boulder, XY Crack Bruce's Boulder is 5.6 miles from town on Icicle Creek Road on the left (River) side look for the big rock. Barney's Rubble is immediately across the street. XY crack is across the stree from the Eightmile CG entrance also on Icicle Creek Road. You may also want to search the site and perhaps buy a guide.
  8. Is everywhere!!!!
  9. yes but if the "friend" is breathing she could get most of the single guys on this site. Breathing and has nice cans. C'mon, there ARE standards after all. Or regularly shearable in the winter. you shear sheep in the late spring... not the winter. you might end up with a frostbitten ewe if you sheared ewe in the winter! Sheep sheep sheep Nobody ever wants to a Goat! (actually, I just wanted to keep one of these quote pryamids going...like in the "old days") I miss the old days quit living in the past "it's all the same fucking day" -Janice Joplin All those pyramids are tripping me out. I'm starting to have seizures. Seizure attack! well lets test the system a little further Is this what you want to stop, catbirdseat? Or this? Maybe I got it wrong. Is THIS what you want to stop?

  12. I think that this is worthy, but how do you let people know? Do you just spray the area and let everyone know wht you are up to? Do you leave a note? Drop a monster Stuzer at the belay?
  13. gnar gnar. My bad...
  14. I would be a little more concerned about the access. Last I heard, the road is washed out and about 5 footbridges are gone as well. Forget postholing, focus on the 20 mile walk instead.
  15. That's a big retreiver. Is he a roid monkey? The big one is about 140 lbs, the middle one (the yougest) is about 100 lbs and the smallest is about 80 lbs. Too bad they are too stupid and friendly to be intimidating. The worst your dog would get is a group humping.
  16. How many rotweillers would it take to eat a retriever? I think 3 would do... Who needs a big truck when you have big dogs?
  17. Isn't that a Chevy?
  18. It's on mofo!
