  2. woa! 2am return from Hyperspace??? I want to hear this story!
  3. Why the %@*! would anyone want to climb Cascadian any time of year unless the purpose was to ski it? That thing is the biggest POS anywhere. Have fun dude
  4. The one I'm thinking of has 3 or 4 bolts through a bulge down low, and then a thin face crack on the front of the column that takes tiny brassies, and a #1 in a flaring pod and then another bolt near the top after the crack disappears. apparently 11b, but felt stiffer than that.
  5. Don't worry Wayne...Sky and I are will bring a raucous Seattle contingent...complete with tequila and t-shirts saying that we knew Wayne before Mongo! Looking forward to the show!
  6. Yeah that top section on Red M&M's is tough. I think the crux mid route is a bit more technical, but that bit at the top is more physical. Either way, I still think that Yodemeister and CTD are tougher. Yodemeister has very few rests at all, where Red M&M's has great rests. CTD is just funky thin, kinda like Red M&M's but with only one crack. Maybe Red M&M's feels a bit easier because it is not very sustained. But with two distinct cruxes, wile Yodemeister is sustained from bottom to top.
  7. I've owned two Beal's so far. One 10.2 and one Joker. I've found that they are solid ropes. The 10.2 was the flyer, a very durable crag rope. Have absolutely no complaints about that rope. The Joker is a great rope for alpine rock where weight is a primary concern. Again, I have nothing bad to say.
  8. Anyone else think that Yodemeister and Crossing the Delaware are both significantly more difficult than Red M&M's? I think so, but I pretty much suck anyways so my opinion probably doesn't count
  9. Right on man. Keep on having fun out there. Godzilla, Princely Ambitions, Toxic Shock are all awesome 5.9. It's not how hard you climb, it's how much fun you're having
  10. at their camp?
  11. only about 900
  12. Work on friday....must be tomorrow.
  13. Just add some superfunness to your day
  14. ID MK1 lite. best tent out there .
  15. I will continue to use "superfun" unabashedly. It explains everything so well...not much need for anything else really. It even makes for the perfect one word TR
  16. No, it's reading posts like this that is boring. Try having some super fun sometime...it's super cool
  17. Hey, who wants to go climb some cracks in the eastern WA sunshine? Vantage? Tieton? I'm game for wherever.
  18. Yeah, want to head out there on Thursday?
  19. small pro is still pro I certainly wouldn't call it shitty at all. There's pro wherever you need it and the placements all tend to be bomber. And the climbing is just super fun
  20. for some reason George and Martha has become the area "classic" 5.10 I think there are so many more that are way better. Corner Pockets, Air Guitar, Sensemilla, Crack Master Lambada, Bob Dylan, Elvis' Pharmacist...etc...
  21. Yeah Stevens Pass Motel is below and to the left of ROTC when looking up. There's a cool 11b right below ROTC. Starts in a cool slot, then exits steeply into thin hands and smeary feet. Super fun.
  22. Right on! We're heading down around the 6th or 7th, and should be in the Valley until about the 20th or so....look for you down there. There's going to be a huge WA posse down there.
  23. Tele is friggin rad, once you learn you will never go back. Learning to tele friggin sucks...plan on spending a lot of time face down in the snow, and falling in all kinds of new and exciting ways. Pick a week when the weather is bad, or go at night up to Snoqualmie and just make laps. Dont give up...eventually you'll get it. For starter gear, go for a softer boot, maybe like the new T-2 and go for shorter skis than you might otherwise normally ski. There's a ton of bindings out there these days. Do some research, because they all perform quite differently. Mostly, it comes down to how much adjustability you want in your system, and how "active" you want your binding to be. There's lot's of great info out there so I won't bore everyone with it here. Have fun!
  24. What's up Mark? When ya coming back down to Sea-Town? -Ross
