  1. Hey Dave, who has them in stock right now around Seattle? You say an icefest around Seattle, damn that would be funny.
  2. Baron Out of Their Tree
  3. I would tend to think that a tubular picket would be hard to clean out and not hold as well. I have never used them, anybody have any experience with them?

    poll

Yeah and for her no worst feeling than being stalked.
  5. Because at this point Grivel doesn't sell replacement picks. Read the blurp at the bottom: Head is not modular I was actually thinking of buying a set of these tools until, I saw you can't chang out the picks. That sort of blows.
  6. I don't know about that. I really hate that bolt on pinky rest, it always slides and is sort of bulky and doesn't feel comfortable. Those tools feel heavy too. Actually for the type of climbing the guy was talking about doing I would reccomend Quarks or Vipers. Both can be used as leashless or leashed tools, have great clearance, good picks, and are just good all around tools.
  7. Maintainence is the best prevention. As longs and I make sure not to let my calouses thicken unevenly, by using file or pumic stone, I don't get flappers.
  8. I f you have a Petzl harness there is a small hole on the gear loops made so that you can clip a biner in there for ice racking. I use those BD clipper thingys in that hole and it works fine. IMO 22cm screws are overkill, they are good for glaciers and alpine where the ice might be crappy. For waterfall ice though especially around here the short screws come in handy. I alway carry on mini, and 3-13cm, then the rest are 17's.
  9. Blah, blah, blah, have fun.
  10. Poor sucka!

That shit out there rocks, steep climbs, tight woods turning, and you be sure to bottom out your Sube.
  12. Shite is not going to form overnight and by next weekend I am sure it will warm again just in time for the weekend. I know crappy attitude.
  13. I was hoping to get up to Lillooet, so yeah it has probably fahqed things up there.
  14. Who cares about neve, it's fucking up my ice climbing.
  15. OUCH! I think my hangover is gone, damn rough day yesterday.
  16. Hmm there has been several good finds. Down in the Gunks after a long weekend and all the NYC lawyer went home the next day was the ultimate in booty days. One route I found 2 cams and 2 nuts everything with draws on it, also looked like it was the first time any of the stuff was used. I found two cam a 2 and 1 camelots and a hex that somebody used to rap off the top of Solar Slab. I found two cam and a nut on Prusik same story. My best find didn't have to do with quality or quantity. I was on Canon and my .75 camelot (one from the gunks) popped off my harness, within 50 feet I found the same sized rigid friend.
  17. then they suck Rando Skis- Remove skins (skis remain on) Lock Heels Go. Split- Take off split skis Remove Skins Join Board Step into bindings. Yeah and everybody I have ever gone up into the hills with is ready to take off as soon as they get to the top . Shit most people dick around for a bit, put on extra layer, eat something, take a drink, catch their breath, take a hit, cool down, whatever. Shit it only takes a couple of minutes extra (at the most) to convert into ride mode. There is always plenty of time to do the above and convert without holding up anyone or myself. And as someone stated usually end up making up any time lost on the descent.
  18. Mmmmm bacon.....oh yeah ice too, I guess.
  19. Sweet maybe I am not out of luck for next weekend.

  22. agreed, but there's a better social life in the Mile O. cheers, The Mile-O is not bad, pretty cheap. What sets Four Pines as side from the rest?
  23. Shite you crazy.....
  24. Actually that is after the flat, that is just showing that poles can be useful to get to the rideable terrain. That little chute was fun, for a day in the woods.
  25. I wouldn't be so bummed out if I wasn't leaving in January, cause I know that get out eventually. Hopefully it stays cold through this weekend too so that I can get out the following weekend, might be my last chance.
