I agree with Gowans that there are some cool aspects to the whole Olympic thing, but I fear that widening the road to Whisler is going to be a project that starts in the next year or so. It is going to wreak havoc on the drive to Squamish , and that is definitely bogus. On the other hand suffering the crowds to see a ski jumping or luge racing might actually be worth a day or two - sure beats flying to Switzerland and suffering the crowds. Also? The drive to Squamish summer of '11 will be a breeze. Too bad I'll be too old to climb by then..

I would love to have the heavy machinery to do the rock in landscapes with artistic freedom. That sounds cool 'cause then I could use the eqipment to do the most awesome landscape on our acre. Playing with rocks would be fun.
