I have almost 2 sets of nuts, A set of Camalots from 0.5-4, a #10 hex, a couple Metolius cams, (black and 2 blues) as well as a couple Metolius tricams, and about 5 Tricams. These work where nothing else will. I love em! Oh yeah, and an old Chouinard stopper I scored from a local crag, left a looong time ago as a TR anchor. Gotten me in plenty of trouble so far.

I was married for 8 years, then one night my wife and I got in a fight and she told me that she hated me and never loved me and never wanted to see me again. Moved out that night, and I stopped climbing for 2+ years. She was my best friend. Still trying to figure out to this day if there was anything I could have done to prevent this. (I don't think so) Marriage can be a beautiful thing, but it can slip from your grasp at any time. It's a huge gamble, but everything everybody has said so far is true. Having a loving companion you can trust is Having kids, gettin a house, hashing out which color plastic lawn furniture you're gonna buy, it's a great thing. I'm really happy for people that have that. I think it's great.

Yeah, I didn't even wear a helmet until I started sport climbing I know, it makes no sense at all, but when I climbed only trad, it just seemed like my partners were more careful. Now I wear one all the time. I'm always bonking my head! The nice thing about my helmet is it makes my massive porkchop head look like it's normal sized.

(Yeah, I know it's in Idaho, but E-Wahsy is close to Idaho.) Anybody been? I'm taking 2 wks off at the end o' September, and I'm curious if anybody has anything to report. There's also that new climbing park right near there.

Really? That's pretty damn funny. My first time up there was after the floods in 96, there was this truck sized washout before the crag, and I felt compelled, for some reason, to get past it. Of course, the washout extended over halfway across the road, so I had to drive on the side of the hill and what was left of the road. My dog and my wife were so positive I was headed for the Crag in the Sky, they jumped out right as I started inching forward to try it. I only slid down a little. Was kinda sketchy though. And we never did make it that day.

AAAAAAHH!! THE SWIRLY!!!! I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!!! And yeah, I do happen to be an unfortunate schlub that works Mon-Fri. It wouldn't be so bad, except most of the people I have the displeasure of interacting with are semi-literate, poorly educated, xenophobic, fat, ugly, miserable little people who seem to have no sense of inner peace. So Mondays always kinda suck for me. But hey! at least it was beautiful this morning.
