I loved my moonlight until it just stopped working in the middle of a night hike one night. I've heard from some of you miscreants that BD has fixed that problem though. There used to be a company called Jet designs that looked promising, but their domain name is up for sale. I'm with Dru, I have my Petzl Arctic that's been going strong over 10 years now, dog chew marks and all. Yeah yeah yeah, it's heavy, but it's a great lamp.

For what it's worth, I lived on the Lebanese border in northern Israel on top of a huge hill in the middle of a pine forest. Contrary to popular misconception, there are still a lot of trees in Israel. True, there are a lot of replanted trees, but there are still plenty of areas that weren't cut down to bare earth. And there were Lebanese cedars everywhere. They're awesome. Israel's pretty. Filthy, but pretty.

Hey Ehm, you can buy these special planty spectrum grow lights that have the most output at the absorption spectra of the plants. I've got 2 of em and my plants repsond well to it. I also have to keep my place warmer than I'd like, but, oh well. Well actually, my setup is one plant spectrum light and one "full spectrum" light. Keeps em happy. I've go a ficus, a corn palm and a Caudex (spelling?) under there.

What was up with that about sea ice? That was random, even for this board. Maybe he thought he was posting on the spray thread of Cascadesailors.com
