  1. According to the writers of the Simpsons the correct etiquette is to hang it under not over.... so that's what I do.

    Packer Backers

For a guy who grew up with the Packers as their nemisis it was one of the greatest things I have seen. Favre regressing to his roots with the desperation pop fly brought tears of joy to my eyes.
  3. Gecko tape will make 5.14 possible for all except the limbless... and they will likely be able to worm their way up 5.11.
  4. Get your ass back to work Bird! Why don't you go outside and enjoy the nice weather with your time off? ... oh wait, you are visiting the flatland shithole you grew up in. Bawhahaha.
  5. When do we get to see photos???

    LOTR return of the king

For one thing they were supposed to be the "secret stairs". It looked like the obvious gully to me.

    Shizzle

This link is a good start to understanding shizzle.
  8. A new sport. Synchronized bouldering.
  9. The name is quite deceptive.

    Minx, my love -

    Princess... that's rich.
  13. Someday I might share the story of the Bird/Norsky Half-Dome epic. A year and a half later it is still too painful to talk about.
  14. I haven't had the balls to lead this one yet. I have top-roped it. I think it is one of those climbs that it is not technically very difficult, but can be mentally devistating on lead. I have watched a few people lead it with serious difficulty.
  15. The V2 next to Royal Flush is a V3 for sure. I saw one guide called it a V1! I swear the layback start to Toxic Shock is a little bit harder than 5.9. It is really short, wich is probably why it is not graded harder, but it is a total barndoor.
  16. I'm so jealous. I did this last year. Best Thanksgiving ever... except for the freeze dried food for dinner.
  17. I would place bolts at will.
  18. This would be a difficult number to determine. The US military meticulously keeps track of soldiers, whereas this is not the case for Iraqi military and citizens. We still have only estimates for the 1991 Gulf War- 30,000- 205,000 combined military and civillian deaths depending if you are asking the U.S. military or Greepeace.
  19. My favorite rock climbing experience so far has been Snake Dike on Half Dome. The climbing was techinically easy, but topping out on Half-Dome was so cool. The 15 miles of hiking required to do the climb was not so sweet, though. I love bouldering and am most familiar with Leavenworth. I like just going to an area like the Star Wars boulders and doing a bunch of problems and making a day of it. I think my favorite one there is that V2 slab with the crappy landing. I remember looking back at the briar patch landing and my spotter staring off into space probably day dreaming of what he was planning on eating for dinner that night. I knew my only option was to send on-sight and I did! What up Distel?!
  20. I can tell the guy in the white shirt for you...cause that's Bird. Bird, at least I'm crankin' the mean lay back! You just pouted and ate cheese whiz. Screw you all. It's a glandular problem.
  21. It is not a problem with the slab problems you climb.
  22. I second this one. I also like Camp 4 by Steve Roper. It is a good history of early Yosemite big walling.
  23. Get on board!!!!! Whoohoo !!!
  24. I would have a shit load of body guards too if I were him. It is dangerous shit speaking out in this country for what you believe in. I would be leery of traveling in small planes as well.
