There was a thread a while back about climbing venacular. In particular, this thread focused on words that should be banned from climbing all together. I propose we take a different approach, and open this thread as a forum for words that should be embraced by the communutiy and used widely by all climbers whether amongst friends, gapers, foes or coworkers. The board has truly spawned some new terms already, many may argue, spray has gained great moment because of the site, while my beloved freshies has seen a major surge in use. Just typing those words brings a smile to my face, and a bit of spray to my monitor. So how bout it? Share with the rest of us those words you and your cell phone possee use when giving eachother a ring. Let us know that secret message the KTK whispers to eachother when sharing a bivy sack with ruxpin. Share thy venacular, and help grow the sprayictionary. My entries for today: owned(v), ooownedah. 1) The act of being owned by something. "That route fucking owned me". This term was permanantly implanted into my head by spending too many hours working with guys who enjoy playing online games. But I have since found the verb can be used outside of the nerd kingdom: "That phatty burrito is owning my ass right now", or when talking to jon "I own you sucka" plabadj., p-LAB 1) Something that is magical, and too mystical for explanation. "The site of freshies on my face is so P-Lab. Plabby- The act of being a plab-ass. P-labio, something that is just so fuggin plab you can't say anything else. "more plab for the stab" well, we'll leave that one open to the imagination.

owned again.

i've spent a couple hours trying to get the who's online thing working. I figured since jonny couldn't get it done i could be a bad a$$ and do it myself, but in the end i was so very owned. anyhow, sorry for the error messages this evening. -tim

drove up to the horse camp near todd lake th, slept in the back of the truck and woke up at 2am for a spectacular show. there were clouds down in bend, but up high the mountain air was cool. the show was great, and the alpenglow in teh AM was even better... car camping at its finest!

I think the best way to learn to lead is to find a generous mentor(s) who will show you the tricks. I think its highly beneficial to learn techniques from as many people as possible. Like just this past weekend, I learned tricks from my more sport oriented friends. The more tricks you got in your pack, the better.

plabio on the ridin mike, there isn't enough here to justify even putting on the rawk skis yet. but it still looks magical

i'm watching some gumby trying to get his honda unstuck from the bachelor parking lot right now, OWNED! It's been snowing all day here, very freakin windy, got some drifts up to 18 inches deep. Frosted magical freshies, they are plabically delishous. Fweshies have arrived!

skip the plastics, get some super mountain 9's. I've got these and the inverno's, and the vernos' got some serious dust on them and don't get as much alpine luvin as the leathers. just my opinion

jon, myself, and the ambiguously gaping trio (heh chaser ) spent the weekend at a rather crowded smith. did the backside (spiderman and some others) on saturday, and front on monday. my little lady hoped on her first rock climb ever and did 5 gallon bucketz, i was so impressed.... i have a rope gun in the making!

i want to quit my job at the msft, take a huge pay cut, and go work at a ski resort.... ohh wait, I already did it let the freshies fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we could have a bbq at my place, if jon brings my feggin bbq down . and we can watch chinook consume feces also. should be a fun time for all
