I was reading a back issue of Climbing Rag that had an article by Jay Smith about climbing in the Fitzroy group. The title was something like "Eighteen Pitches in Fifty Eight Days" Conservatively, I figure that's about a month of sitting around waiting for weather. Imo, can't see a FA of an already climbed summit being worth so much mind-numbing boredom. With plenty of drugs, it might be a different story... man, no perspective! i've got a couple of friends going down there this winter. I sure the hell would love to be going with them!

as scary as this i don't know why anyone would be surprised by this. this kind of nonsense has been going on for centuries in one form or another. just another excuse to hate somebody thank dog i don't need someone else to tell me who/what i should trust, like, know, think, play with etc. by taking such a limited view of the world, i think these people cheat themselves out of the opportunity to experience so many things. they're playing the role of fundamentalist christian in some script, they're not experiencing reality and all the facets of life.

What a spectacular weekend!!!! Climbed in the mornings and evenings all 4 days of the w/e. Played in the water and sun the rest of the day! No place particular grand but managed to hit 4 different places over the course of the w/e. Exit 38, Granite Point, Vantage and Little Si. So the new place is worth it? Heard some good things from people. Shoulda gone last week!! Maybe give it a go next week. Roadtrip anyone?

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. It's pretty new and decent condition. Certainly doesn't look like it had been out there through the winter. They're just lucky i recently replaced mine! Heard a party going down the other side on my way up so i'm assuming it belongs to one of them.

in my experience... international politics is quite complicated...especially when you throw in a whole bunch of different cultural premises that are wholy incompatable... "perhaps the truth is more complicated than the hippies think...." international politics and truth are NOT the same thing. in my experience...they aren't related in any way at all.
