  1. It's too bad that there aren't any climbers who know shit about robots.

Sylvester Sneekly looks like Burgess Meridith.
  3. I'll buy that.
  4. She'll do a testicular resection on you without anaesthetic.
  5. I'd do it with a template, but not otherwise. I suppose one could make a template from an old BD drilled hex. I can see why they are no longer sold. It's terribly labor intensive to drill holes. The price would be greater than what people would be willing to pay.
  6. What are you talking about? Sure, you can frontpoint in G-10s. Picture
  7. A friend of mine had testicular cancer. Recovered completely. He's now the owner of one brass ball. Actually, I have no idea what they use for prostheses these days.
  8. http://www.bdel.com/gear/rock/protection.php#hexes my gawd. its a cowbell. That's what people call 'em. The poor man's #4 Camalot.
  9. This thread has been done aready. That's why.
  10. How about hot springs.
  11. Are these custom drilled or were they commercially available at one time? If custom, how does one know whether strength is compromised? I do know that many structures can have material removed with almost no compromise on strength. One example is aluminum booms on sailboats. An aerospace engineer friend cut out panels from the side of the boom on his San Juan 30 and claimed it was actually stronger. I had to take his word for it.

Get a life. I probably don't post even half of the trips I do.
  13. I believe hexes are lighter than cams across the entire size range. Tricams are even lighter for their size. Ain't that right, Dru?
  14. A pertinant thread: What Dru Says. See here too.
  15. The weather was nice. We KNOW you were out climbing. So start typing. Let's see the trip reports. You don't need to chest beat (unless you want to).
  16. Only knot to use!!! Great pic! Nice diagram. You will notice that the last turns of the knot make a figure eight. So the bowline with Yos finish is a compound knot. Cool.
  17. Use ear plugs if the snorers bother you. As for cold, even in winter, Rainier is not as cold as Denali in summer.
  18. What's the going rate? I could use some pocket money and the exercise would do me good.
  19. I think it was the Dwayner poltergeist at work. There can be no other explanation.
  20. Five inches of snow on top of talus makes it a little tricky too.
  21. People are idiots to even consider that a tornado might have deposited those boulders. Obviously, it was done by UFOs, Duh!
  22. Was it a bolted crack?
  23. He looks like one of those Russian Biathalon athletes after defeat. Killer gimace, man.
  24. Luke, you look like Jim Armstrong, the All-American Boy. You are so wholesome in appearance, you could make a good living as a con man.
  25. Climbed Slippery Slab Tower with my friends. It was pretty wet, so you couldn't get a decent smear anywhere. It was all edging. It made a 5.4 climb into a 5.4++ or a 5.4MA. The trails were kind of slushy from the recent snow that was rapidly melting, but I didn't mind. What a beautiful fall day for a hike! Glorious! It was great to be outside. BTW, I saw iceguy's name in the summit register. Solo ascent he wrote.
