  1. Thus, you can almost handle it? Sorry Prole, I pitched out what Whoopie thought earlier and Pat up there almost blew an O'ring on his backside. If you want to read that, best do a search or let Google be your friend.:-)
  2. PS, we welcome Gene Simmons (although a bit late) to the party as well. Unfortunately, plenty of idiots, like Pat - are only just staring to see the light that a smaller government is better for them on so many levels. Of course, jb will soon show up and say that my post means that this means I support the rich eating the poor. Uhhh, Please! Stop with the stupidity. The Bush tax cuts should expire. For rich and poor. Back to the Clinton brackets and after that we still will need to cut spending...like radically, to survive and thrive. By PATRICK GAVIN | 12/6/10 7:51 AM EST Updated: 12/6/10 12:14 PM EST Even though KISS star Gene Simmons voted for President Barack Obama in 2008, he's not as big of a fan anymore. The rocker announced that he "couldn't find somebody, in retrospect, more unqualified." "Two years in public office, never ran his own company, so after the fact, I was questioning the qualification," said Simmons during an appearance on CNN. Simmons knocked the health care bill, in addition to "the Chapter 11s and Chapter 7s. You should be able to fail. " "I want the government out of my life," said Simmons. Me too Gene. But it ain't Grandpa McCain and it aint Obama and it sure as hell ain't Palin. It ain't repub and it ain't dems that will get that for you, me and the rest of these folks. Best of luck my brothers.
  3. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1210/46019.html By all accounts it appears that people really are as vacuous and ignorant as Pat Gallager. Holy shit, I though that there was only one of these cretins running around, where do they get these idiots from? (truth in posting, I just learned that Peter Puget posted this link earlier, although I didn't click it then). "By JAMES HOHMANN | 12/6/10 1:46 PM EST Updated: 12/6/10 4:09 PM EST George W. Bush’s job approval rating as president has spiked to 47 percent, according to a Gallup poll released Monday. That’s 1 point higher than President Barack Obama’s job approval rating in a poll taken the same week. This is the first time Gallup asked Americans to retrospectively rate Bush’s job performance. And it was a stunning turnaround from his low point of 25 percent in November 2008. The 47 percent number is 13 points higher than the last Gallup poll taken before Bush left office in 2009 and the highest rating for him since before Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Still, Bush’s 51 percent disapproval rating means he’s only one of two U.S. presidents in the past 50 years whose disapproval exceeds approval. The other is Richard Nixon, who resigned in disgrace 36 years ago and whose approval rating stands at 29 percent. Obama’s stumbles and dimming public memories of Bush’s shortcomings appear to be helping fuel the more positive reassessment of him. And, in recent weeks, Bush’s tour to promote his new memoir, “Decision Points,” and the groundbreaking of his new library in Dallas have generated mostly positive press. Bush’s 47 percent approval rating also raises serious questions about the wisdom of the White House’s decision to relentlessly attack him in the months before the Democrats’ historic losses in the midterm elections. The president had kept warning a House Republican majority would return to Bush-era policies. But Obama’s message did little to galvanize the liberal base, and independents flocked to the GOP on Election Day. Bush’s rebound gives some credence to what he has long said — that history will eventually judge his presidency. One of his role models is Harry Truman, who left office deeply unpopular but now gets credit for laying the groundwork to fight the Cold War. Bush sees parallels with his own efforts in the early days of the global war on terror. Gallup also polled on the eight other presidents in the past 50 years, asking: “From what you have heard, read, or remember about some of our past presidents, please tell me if you approve or disapprove of the way each of the following handled their job as president.” To prevent respondents from getting Bush, the 43rd president, confused with his father — George H.W. Bush, the 41st president — the pollsters added that Bush was president from 2001 to 2009. John F. Kennedy remains the most popular modern president, with 85 percent of those surveyed saying they approved of his job performance. Ronald Reagan’s job approval was 74 percent. And Bill Clinton’s was 69 percent, up from 61 percent in 2006."
  4. No kidding! LOL. I have to give it to Dave so far. If no one else has a brain fart that works and none of those works for you, I'd suggest this: http://www.thebostonegotist.com/news/national/2010/august/13/cheap-ass-taglines ...anyone else want to help Pat with his quest?

    The End Is Near!

A Palin election win = 4 more years of Bill Clinton.
  6. He shoots HE SCORES!!!!! LOL! Every one of those scores! HOLY CRAP THAT STUFF IS HILARIOUS DAVE!!!
  7. Your lack of imagination is matched only by your lack of humility. Change the words "your" up there to "my" and you're right there bubba. See, that wasn't so hard now was it?

    The End Is Near!

Attention whore convention. I apologize if any real prostitutes find that comment demeaning.
  9. I saw #2 Tappet (#1?) unloading his car Saturday as we cruised by at @ 9:30...cig dangling out his mouth James Dean style as the wind bent the trees and howled. I honked (a tad late)... reached over and cranked the heater up as we continued down the road. Ivan, what happened to your jugging near death thing?
  10. He's not my friend although he'd be a good friend to have. I only know him by his (good) reputation. I have still not even met Steve. Showing up (tired) at the end of the day and seeing a thread full of mostly mean spirited and mostly unwarranted attacks back and forth is difficult to read through. I wish I hadn't contributed to that atmosphere earlier: but much like a turd that had to get out, it won't go back once it's out and it just sits there looking bad and smelling up the place. So I'll blame the weather, and not fire off a 2nd ugly post. I got snowed on today and got some good work done, good times! It's all good. Later bros!
  11. This is Al Gore's fault.

    Secession

Pink. OMG, that's hilarious Prole. To get back to the serious part of Pats thread, interesting in that the Russians (based an a professors predictions) have believed that for some time that the breakup of the country will be right about now, actually, we just missed the date. Here's a 2008 Wall Street Journal piece on it. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123051100709638419.html That Emmanuel Todd, the mercantilist Frenchman who predicted the collapse of the USSR 12 years in advance has also predicted the US collapse is un-nerving. http://www.guardian.co.uk/theobserver/2004/feb/08/society.politics Towards the end of this snippit from the review he explains that it's partially the typical self-centered entitlement attitude embodied by jb and his ilk's fault, who will son show up trying to blame the elites and anyone else and just further prove Todds point: From the book "After the Empire: The Breakdown of the American Order by Emmanuel Todd Lind describes Todd's argument as 'a powerful antidote to hysterical exaggeration of American power and potential by American triumphalists and anti-American polemicists alike'. The author, he says, understands 'as the American political elite evidently does not, that military power cannot be understood apart from economic performance. For decades the US, while exporting soldiers, has helped to promote global economic growth by importing manufactured goods and immigrants'. In other words, the US is living on borrowed time. It depends on sweatshop labour, both within its borders and abroad, to sustain its wealth. Nowhere is the mutual dependency greater than between Wal-Mart and the People's Republic of China. America's largest (and soon to be Britain's largest) retail monster now accounts for a significant chunk of the GDP of the world's fastest-growing economy. I am told that even those stars and stripes flags Americans like to hang outside their houses, bought naturally from Wal-Mart stores, are now made in China. 'Today's Americans, so dynamic and so capable of accepting the insecurity of a deregulated work world, have become en masse the planet's non-productive, ever-consuming government employees. An excess of individual responsibility has only generated a collective irresponsibility." Of course, of any work of that scope, folks can point out the many flaws, but were they not the same ones pointing out the flaws in his USSR breakup analysis?
  13. LOL Ivan! I suspect that Steve has forgotten more about China than you've ever learned or ever will learn Fairweather. Why you so openly lay out your ignorance, stupidity and prejudices about someone you know NOTHING about is astounding. So I'll clue you in, you are talking to an expert on that country. It doesn't mean he knows everything about the country, just that he most likely knows more than anyone else who posts on this site. Possibly as much as anyone outside of the CIA knows. It's his business to know. Your insults to him only shows your own stupidity. You should apologize to him immediately.

    Secession

I think we all agree that we'd encourage you and you alone to start and conduct our own personal secessionist movement as long as it meant you went off, lived alone and left the rest of us normal people the fuck alone. Hey, we could have a little election right here on CC.com to confirm that you should do this. "SHOULD TRASH SECEDE FROM THE UNION AND LEAVE US all THE F* ALONE". YES OR NO The election would win in a landslide. You could lock yourself in your house and play with your dolls or whatever you do, promote yourself to Emperor of the house for life: little Napoleon or Hitler. You could sit around all day and call yourself these nasty little names like you usually do around here. They would still make you feel clever and you'd still just be a total bitch but to yourself instead of to others. You could conduct straw polls on how you are feeling or when you should go take a dump, those kind of things - or whatever. The key thing is that although you are still being a nasty little bitch like always , this time it is but to yourself and yourself alone. Woot! It certainly is the best idea you've ever had and I support it 100%. It would be awesome. Goodby!

    Anyone we know?

I would have done that for him right away if I'd been a neighbor. In fact, it would have been an open invitation parade for everyone in the town to show up and pee.

    Anyone we know?

No shit? I don't think so. You got IP logs? Nitrox, what's your name in real life? We all know who Dru/G-spotter is. BTW, the first link in the first post which no longer is working had this pic in the article. Seattle times trying to be PC deleted it. Pretty much total bullshit, took place at Hayden Lake, Idaho. The story is that the police showed up when the neighbors called them and threatened prosecution on the neo-nazi asswipe, so the dipshit collapsed it.
  17. Although you normally act like an egotistical prick online, I do appreciate that you work with the ACLU. So IF you are doing more than a normal fly on shit routine over there, thank you for YOUR service. Noticed that I tried not to say "thank you for YOUR service....ASSHOLE". LOL BTW, anyone who has to go over there and get shot at, I say spend the money so that they can at least win the daily tactical battles and come back safe and alive. Anyone here ever price out one of the JDAMS or any of the munitions they toss off the Predators like so much candy at a parade? Nice wrist crossbow below:
  18. Which one of you is out there making snowmen?

  21. Obamas been busy getting you health care and committing more troops to Asscrackistan. Not his fault. "Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Indonesia and Qatar all submitted the paperwork on time. " oh oh...someone missed the fine print at the bottom....They could have put these folks in charge of the bid. http://my.barackobama.com/page/group/SoccerfansforObama
  22. First they'll come for your guns, then they'll come for your crossbows, finally, they'll come for your ice axes. Kid probably had the Trotsky model. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/merseyside/4477156.stm I shouldn't be making light of it. Sad stuff to read no matter the weapon of choice.
