  1. Well, I never wanted to pay $14 for the bronze offsets and now its too late. What small micro nuts do you all think are the best - and HB is no longer the answer.
  2. If in "gay" as in happy and upbeat, GOTTA agree wid dat!
  3. RobertO! You didn't miss much in the way of climbing. Couple of us went to Oregon City to the land of Ujahn. Good company though.
  4. "endurance beer drinking" ahhh, that actually might be one of the sports I'm currently exceling at.
  5. I got invited out elsewhere, so I'm out for tonight. Sketch, where you been? If I'd a known you were gonna be there..... dude.
  6. Wish you could show up and check it out, there's plenty of easy and very safe pro to be had on all of them. Easier to see than explain. __________________________________________________ Stick with me Roberto, I'm not climbing all that hot right now:-) Must be age issuesnow that I'm 50 and busier than hell. Bringing the missus I hope?
  7. Roberto! Glad to have you! Lets dawg! If we wind up with a bunch of folks, maybe we should do birds and w rabbit?
  8. I usually can get there by 5:45pm. You guys telling me where you want to climb is OK with me.
  9. Enumclaw Stud (pony) hmmm, still might be better than wanker. I thought you had to pay to change your handle?
  10. Anyone interested in climbing tomorrow evening? BTW: Fuenos showed up with an alledged wisk broom and cleaned a couple of those dirty routes. Ask him where they are: both @ 5.9 and very likeable routes.
  11. Show up at the gym and the local pub clubs is good advice. Don't get so discouraged so easily Crampon. BTW, I've met ChrisT twice: she's nice.
  12. And lastly - discuss it with everybody who climbs there (which you are starting by asking the ? here). Remember that everybody has veto power.
  13. Do you want to get in the office pool on how long it take for those local boys to show up with a hydrolic rock drill and drill pockets and retrobolt the place? (check out the back of the big boulders up there for that effect). Next will come route names, bolt on sport holds and rubber ground cover to make it safe.
  14. I just wouldn't want them checking out my package underneath my cloths and seeing how small I really am.

In an interesting twist: I see as of today that the former Director of the CIA and Regans former Undersecretarty of Defense both agree with that very sediment. Glad to see I'm not the only raving loony. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050814/ap_o...2MwBHNlYwM3Mzg- "Nonetheless, plug-in hybrids are starting to get the backing of prominent hawks like former CIA director James Woolsey and Frank Gaffney, President Reagan's undersecretary of defense. They have joined Set America Free, a group that wants the government to spend $12 billion over four years on plug-in hybrids, alternative fuels and other measures to reduce foreign oil dependence. Gaffney, who heads the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Security Policy, said Americans would embrace plug-ins if they understood arguments from him and others who say gasoline contributes to oil-rich Middle Eastern governments that support terrorism. "The more we are consuming oil that either comes from places that are bent on our destruction or helping those who are ... the more we are enabling those who are trying to kill us," Gaffney said. "

Mr E - I bought that very same book after reading "In a Sunburned Country" by Bill Bryson. Fantastic work on Austraila. The book, "In a Sunburned Country about Australia was 9.9 good on a scale of 10 IMO. The book a Short History ........well....I have found it not interesting to the point where I stopped reading it and walked away. 3 or 4 out of 10 ? Are you enjoying it quite a bit then? Did you read in a Sunburned Country as well? ps thanks Sobo!
  19. Why are you asking? Did you wake up after a 12 pack and find one in your sleeping bag under a gallon of vomit or what?

another one worth checking out: Dore Gold's new work Hatred's Kingdom : "How Saudi Arabia Supports the New Global Terrorism" "http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0895261359/qid=1123876337/sr=8-2/ref=pd_bbs_2/102-9340335-8224100?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 As the former Israeli Ambassador to the UN, he may be a LITTLE slanted *cough* cough*, but the man lays down the facts pretty solid about Wahbiism and the underlying shift of the islamic jihadists attiude being a construct and outcome of mainstream Saudi Mahadis (schools). Side note to the bored, I'll talk slow so you all undestand: AMERICANS ECXESSIVE CONSUMPTION OF GAS IS LEADING TO TERROR ATTACKS BEING FUNDED VIA TEACHING HATRED OF YOU AND ALL THE THINGS YOU STAND FOR. YES YOU (THATS YOU AND ME) ARE HELPING TO FUND THIS VIA PETROLIUM USAGE AND WASTEFUL DRIVING HABITS AND GAS SUCKING SUVS. Driving less means we will be less likely to have to engage the bastards militarity. So the next time you see some poor bastard get his throat cut via video on Al's Jissum.com, check the mirror and reflect upon your personal fuel useage. I have a 15 year old boy I want to have around for a while.

Dwyaner: IMO best book ever for Japan is "The Rising Sun" by John Toland. Theres a reason it won the pulitzer. Currently I'm reading "Lincolns Admiral". A very well done tome about David Farraday and the naval engagements during the civil war. I'll read any book, as long as I can buy it for less than $2 and it's a hardcover.
  23. Hey Momentus, weren't you going to clean those off? We get there last night and all that dirt and shit is still covering everything! WTF you been doing with your time anyway? BTW and FYI, Doug went right up between the 2 routes on TR looking smooooth, and says thats better than the other 2. Nolse confirmed and I did belay, so I'm going with 2nd hand info here. We should have brought wisk brooms but a good time was had anyway.
