[TR] Smith Rocks - Monkey Face/Zebra Zion/etc 3/11
billcoe replied to olyclimber's topic in Oregon Cascades
I think I saw you up there, are you named Porter or Iain? -
Or how about a man with a small penis? Dru and I might be interested.
-
JT for both Papa woolsey? Waterchute. Total guessing I don't know.

Collect stool samples so you can identify the culprits later. We have 2 dogs in the house and it always works for me. Unless you want to join in, start a shop that sells Jeri Curls, Spinners and hair extensions.

[TR] Smith Rocks - Monkey Face/Zebra Zion/etc 3/11

Sweet classic John. Your pic sort of looks like that route. How about a mini TR since it's 5 glorious and varied pitches and you posted only 2 pics of only the crescent crack? Oly climber needs to get on this one next time down:-0. My special questions are: Have the 1st pitch 1/4 death bolts been redone by Corvallisclimb or anyone? Was there much loose rock? 3rd, would you call P1 10B or C or do you think it's really 10A? What did you use for pro on the last pitch, and did you wander to the left and up the face or stay in the offwidth? I once pulled off about a 1'-2' flake (one-two foot across x @8" deep) on P1 of free lunch. The scar-light rock is still visible @ 30'-40' up or so). -

Buzzz; You can have another guess cause you're such a nice fella. Might double check the guidebook. __________________________________________________________________- Ya gotta love any story that starts out " it was a dark and stormy night ". Oly, you're suppose to work up to the classics, not start with em, 'cause it's all downhill now:-) ___________________________________________________________________ AJ, painful crack ? Hard to tell from your pic. Monkey Farce? Sweet lil 10B to the right of West Face Variation right side start? ____________________________________________________________________ OK John, I'll guess, you found a bolted crack at Smith? It almost looks like picknic lunch wall to me but I don't remember that look. -
Washington and Canada are tied for #1 for mountaineering. Canada and Washington #1 then #2 for Skiing with Timberline in Oregon #1 for summer skiing which goes all summer until late August- Early September. California has some great winter skiing at Tahoe, sometimes there is no snow in spring (I think this is may be one of those years). Rock: California far and away #1, followed by Washington/Canada then Oregon. Social: hey, California invented Pot and LSD, that should tell you something. Canada/Washington co-#1 followed by Oregon, but Bend is a tight lil community by itself. Good luck. Bill

I think I recognise the text as a dialect of the Umbuntu tribe in NW Uganda or possibly Nigeria. It translates to english thus: "Please bend over , grab your ass cheeks and spread-em, we, the 36 African men of our village, wish to plunder. blunder and chunder you oh so savagely. Oh, may we also have your bank account numbers? Thank you Abubu addy and the Nigerians" ___________________________________________________________- A public service- no thanks needed. Regards: Bill

This thread has only proven to me once again how Friggan out of it I really am. I can't even spell the names of most of those places..... Pretty depressing, I must live a sheltered life.
-
If you were going for humor Dwayner, you might double check it cause you come off sounding like a cold, mean spirited (insert rude word here). Which I'm pretty sure you are not. Regards; Bill

Was it "good" for you?
-
Canadian Grade III?

No friggin' way! Could you tell us what happened? Michelle66? Could you ?.......

Damn: Andrew, you bring the gasoline and I'll bring the matches for the olympic torch re-creation.
-
heh heh, true dat. .... BTW, I second that round of head from Cindy comment above. (not too old...see?) Unless it's Arc, than lets turn it over to Pink for an Olympic Torch demo -that would be worth pulling up a lawn chair and having a beer to watch go down.

Nice Call. Ditto here.

link For the upwardly mobile yupster who wants to burn some mountain laps on the weekend, but it could be awhile: "YAKIMA, Wash. - Construction will start this summer on a planned $500 million, Tuscan-themed golf resort with views of Mount Rainier and Mount Adams in the Yakima Valley wine country, developers said. ADVERTISEMENT The Vineyards, about seven miles northwest of Zillah and less than 20 miles from Yakima, will target Seattle residents looking for a second home on a championship-quality golf course in Washington's sunny wine country, Rich Barnes, a principal with Colorado-based Eagle Resort Development, told the Yakima Herald-Republic. Depending on views of the 18-hole course and Cascade Range volcanos, lots will sell for $250,000 to $1 million, the developers said. A total of 582 housing units, including 230 private homes, a 100-room condominium hotel, and a combination of patio homes, town homes and villas are planned on 500 acres atop Rattlesnake Ridge. The Vineyards would not be as large as Suncadia, which opened in Kittitas County in 2004. Suncadia covers about 6,000 acres, and is expected to eventually include more than 3,000 homes, golf courses, condos and hotel rooms. Construction of The Vineyards will occur in phases, starting in June with the first nine holes of the 7,561-yard golf course, with play beginning in 2009, Barnes said. The first home sites will be available in August 2008, he said. Plans call for the project to be completed by 2015."

Alpinist 19: The Consiltory Northwest Edition
billcoe replied to olyclimber's topic in Climber's Board
Yes, and I understand that grade V is like Grade III-IV and grade IV is like Grade III or sumptin depending on which Canadian is grading it in Idaho. Man, I gotta get me some rich friends so I can read this mag on a regular basis. -
WTF, you kidding. We got trolled? Shit. I like Ivan, like he knew but forgot to tell us all! My brothers use to do that. Brother kent: "Oh, I've known all about those hornets for weeks. How many stings did ya get?" I thought this was the internet and we are all 100 percent honest. Sad. I'm going back to whale tail and muffin tops. Maybe Kevs got more pics of Pam.
