  1. Don't be a hater
  2. Look at this gorgeous radar image http://radar.wrh.noaa.gov/radar/images/DS.p19r0/SI.katx/latest.gif Heading up tomorrow night to Baker. Think we'll have another good weekend!
  3. Was up at Baker for the last four days and while it's VERY skied out now, the snow wasn't half bad thursday and friday. We took a run out on the arm on Friday and it rivaled anything from last year. Got pretty nasty Saturday and Sunday, though I heard that table mountain was fun on Saturday afternoon. More snow coming this Thursday. Cross fingers for significant amount.
  4. Awesome! Were you ever roped up?
  5. Man...we need more and they keep backing off the snow predicitons for the end of this week. i really hope we get something significant. At least it's cold.
  6. Having been to both the Seattle VW and Stone Gardens, I personally like Stone more. The bouldering area is much bigger and interesting, they use ATCs at Stone, and it just feels more homey. On top of that, Stone is cheaper. However, it seems that VW would offer more long roped routes. My only beef with SG is that a few weeks after they set the routes, the tape tends to come off of the lower rocks and sometimes routes become undoable. They should either find a stickier tape or have one of the 2-3 guys that are always at the front desk out in the gym remarking routes as necessary. That's a pretty minor complaint though.
  7. 20 inches in 24 hours at Baker. Should've headed up this morning, but will have to wait until Thursday to hit it up. more snow on the way on Tuesday night... bout fucking time:)
  8. Heading up to Whistler this afternoon and need to pick up a Giro helmet. Where's the best place to go for prices/selection? Does MEC have anything?
  9. Good times, good times. Thanks for putting it on Jon. Good slides.

    Still Hiring...

I posted earlier about this. Anybody looking for a job? thePlatform
  11. check it out here
  12. Good small place with great prices. Found it online and went up there yesterday. Picked up some Smith Regulator googles for half price ($27), though they are last year's, a new Helly Hansen boarding jacket for $100 bucks and some RIDE boarding pants for another $100. I was planning on spending twice that somewhere else. Nice guy tere too. Go check it out if you're in the area. No climbing gear.
  13. For old time's sake... Shultzy's is the Wurst!
  14. I have used a split board and love snowboarding, but i have to agree about backcountry travels. Split boards are great for doing a few long runs in a day. But if you want to really get out there, i'd think a randonee setup would be the best. A number of my friends use them and really seem to have a good time on them. Remember. Randonee is french for "Can't Tele"
  15. I have a certificate that's good for one free pair of Montrail rock shoes. Just fill out the type and the size and mail it in to Montrail. It expires on December 31st of this year. I can bring this to a Seattle pub club. $70 OBO
  16. i'm sure the coverage will still suck, but i just thought it amusing that they closed after two days and plan on reopening two days later.
  17. Baker was pretty good. Needs more snow. I've never boarded on it that low before. We did some hiking out on the arm and dropped in on the heli-route. Good times near the top but got a tad dicey in the timber. Nothing too bad though. Was more difficult in finding the way out than any sketch sections. the snow was super dense though. Had a hard time keeping the board on top of it, especially in the slow sections. Looing like mixed snow/rain right now and not getting better until wednesday night Hopefully one of the days this weekend will be good.
  18. Installing the hot tub at the baker cabin and watching the auburn alabama game.
  19. w00p predates w00t. i'm old skool...or something
  20. see you in line for the first chair!
  21. it's never soon enough. the agony!
  22. We got seriously TEASED a couple weeks ago. Now it's TOO WARM. WTF?!
  23. In the war of public opinion, we seem to be losing. I highly doubt many of her 'rumors' are correct though. She's mad and she's lashing out, looking for things to grasp to and anything to strengthen her point. That's my guess, anyway.
  24. raining this weekend i think though. Otherwise, baker socks!
  25. So if you were in the Green Room at 8pm, you got to pass the line. Also, the "fashion show" afterwards was great. The movie itself was good, but never built to the end like last years'.
