  1. Damn, and I thought I was jealous when my mother went down there in December just to toot around on the window tour.
  2. Yeah, the first part of the trail up Surprise Creek would suck something fierce on skis, then you would have to come back on it too. It would suck
  3. Oh no, another bolted crack thread.
  4. Good job Selkirk! We need to get out sometime and do something a little farther in. I've been sad that I have been working instead of drytooling on Wednesday, but have been able to get a little climbing in on the weekends thanks to CBS. Going to Pub Club tonight?
  5. Way to get it done. Guess I've been missing out on the Scurlock porn, I need to wipe my screen off now.
  6. Nice line! How where the views? Let's see some pics
  7. I seemed to think those who climb for reasons other than enjoyment tend to have much shorter lifespans, much less careers in climbing. I actually find the getting to the top rather anticlimatic, because it is the inbetween that I find the most interesting. This coming from one who backed off a single pitch 5.4 over the weekend.
  8. Good times and here's to CBS's awesome leader fall on that first dihedral. Here's to my lame as for backing down when I should of just took the fall like he did. A nice long approach in some chilly weather for one pitch of scary rock climbing is sure a good time. Cheers
  9. I've skied several times this year with a splitboarder from TAY.com who took an old board and sliced it in half with a circular saw. He had to put epoxy on the inside edges to prevent core from being exposed and then add a set of Voile splitboard bindings which are sold as a kit. I believe that Burton ditched their whole binding setup this year and are now using Voile's for their boards. I also met one other dude who has been boarding for 20+ years and did the same thing. They both love it. Not sure if that is an option for you, but you can get the Voile kit for around $150.00 and a cheap board for around that too and you would be set. Better than dropping $800+ for a ready made board, IMHO.
  10. Going to China anytime soon! Hope Fred brings his snaffle rifle with him.
  11. I appreciated the trail on Sunday. Cheers to a good climb!!
  12. That makes me sad....I was hoping for some badass TR.
  13. Feminazi, that's a new one for me.
  14. Yeah it may be cold here, but..... This is f'n cold! Does this count as a bumber belay??
  15. Super Sweet! 11 years ain't so bad, there's something I've been dreaming about for the last 15 that I'm hoping to hit up this summer.
  16. If we had laws like Louisiana we could have the drive through liquors stores like they have down there. Nothing like driving home and picking up a Margarita or a Long Island Ice Tea to go.
  17. They would probably be better off spending the extra money on a f'n personal trainer rather than a plane ticket. They should offer that service on the plane.
  18. I think both of those would be really good objectives. Sorry I can't join you though.
  19. Better question would have been when does it end.
  20. Gotta Love Bob, Spike, and Joe
  21. Climb: Chair Peak-NE Buttress - Attempt Date of Climb: 2/12/2006 Trip Report: With all the trips going up to Chair Peak and the photos showing that the ice was well formed I decided to make a trip up to check it out for myself. Amazing what a few days will do to an eastern facing slope such as this. Here's the report Gear Notes: ice screws stoppers #3-9 pink tri-cam red tri-cam Approach Notes: Easily followed boot pack
  22. Nice TR Hoodie. Makes me want to quit my job and bum it for a while.
  23. Sorry dude, but I can't make it tonight. Got an appointment with a personal trainer that I got to keep.
  24. And that sausage will be of the pork kind, of course.
  25. Oh Yeah! Mega Uber! His attempt the prior year on the Rupal followed his successful solo of K-7 only a few weeks before. That would have been a cool linkup.
