Must of past you on our way up Sunday morning. Can't imagine staying in the lookout with so many people. I suppose you were safe from intruders due to the guy we saw on the trail with a rifle in hand! We didn't bring ice ax/traction and did the bypass on the left side (looking uphill) of the final snow slope. Just had to cross 30' of flat snow. Would do the same again in late season to save the weight.

I don't know if this helps, but here is Hozomeen from Ross (it's from the West).

I don't think you'll need to reserve Winchester Mt....I think (and only think) that it is first come first serve.

Why bother with a tricky digital camera if you are going to take prints to costco? Invest in a good printer. That way you can control your prints. Epson 2200 as good or better thatn Costco. $600 dollars though. Not real portable however. But 13x44 print capable.

Second your decision to bail out. A party had to be helped off the Sulphide on Sunday morning after getting caught in it on Saturday.

Rent a motor boat from the resort. My Dad and I did that and had a great time exploring the lake. Be careful if you don't canoe much, as the waves can get pretty big on Ross in the afternoon -(really, the wind whips up the gorge pretty good).
