The business going down arguement is bullshit. I know so many people that would go out more if it didn't smell like shit everywhere. Government can mandate what happens on that property when it's a public place and the behavior harms the health of others. I am all for a ban. People can smoke outside where they should if they want to smoke. Second hand smoke violates other people's personal space.

...and less freedom too. Does that factor into your equation? Fuck Western Europe. Fuck Chirac too. The power hungry bastard is simply trying to make the UN and EU his personal imperium. The newly liberated euro "east-siders" appreciate our freedoms more anyhow. Surprisingly, I don't disagree with this part of your post. FTR, I drive a 2WD 1996 Toyota T100 3.4ltr V6 pick-up truck that gets about 22mpg on the hwy. When I finally get around to replacing it someday, I'll get a higher mileage vehicle, for sure. Maybe a Toyota Tacoma Quad cab (4cyl) @27mpg, or one of those Honda Elements ... roomy and get about 28mpg hwy. 30 mpg should be the goal, but ultimately the free market will decide. I don't think the "shaming" of SUV owners that is constantly being dished out by the left has been successful at all. I don't know what there is that I wouldn want to do that wouldn't fall under wastern europe's definition of freedom. Last time it was us holding "enemy combatants" without giving them the rights afforded under our idea of freedom. The gun thing doesn't bother me cause I'm not into guns. Funny, I was just thinking about alternative vehicles...I bet electric drivetrains would be awesome for trucks. Imagine a single motor mounted to each wheel. You could completely do away with clunky old-tech 4WD systems. Navigating off road would be much easier if the vehicle's computer could independently power each wheel to gain the best traffic. On the highway only two motors would run. That would be really neat. It's too bad the element is pretty ugly, cause I really like the concept. It's a perfect climber's ride. I dig the easy rinse out deal.

I totally agree. The next step is getting government to heavily tax companies that produce with large amounts of pollution. We have had the technology to seriously cut down on pollution in production for years now, but there isnt much incentive to do so when you can get away with not. It doesn't help that our current government wont do a damn thing to fix the situation.

Oh no....how sad The one that softened the blow at Reagan is, for all intents and purposes, he's been dead for 10 years anyway.

Maybe she's gotten better. If she tried to answer the phone the ol' hate fuck would be on.

yeah, I've heard the same thing, but that picture has always been super hot.

Yeah, 45 minutes until my last one! Unfortunately I'm taking summer shit, but it's all online so it wont conflict with climbing. Frosty, if you wanna hook up for some shiz, lemme know. Looks like weather starts improving on monday and no more clases to interfere!

Lets be honest, she aint that hot, and she's a real bitch. But if the question comes down to "would you fuck her or not"? I am going to have to answer that in the affermative. She isn't that bad looking either, and I'm guess she has probably gained some experience from when that video is made and would be fun in bed. That dude seemed to be enjoying himself at least.

The biatches driving the H2s are hilarious. I saw some 60 year old dude driving a yellow in bellevue the other day. get a fucking clue... The TDI engines are awesome. You can also run biodesiel so you can truly feel good about not supporting the oil terrorists. Also, I'll only look down on the dude in the mud bog cause he's a racist, not cause of his truck

You pretty much nailed it right there... Bronco, I wasn't talking about the banning of SUVs. Justin's idea of opening more carpool lanes is a good one. Basically make it more difficult on single commuters and easier on multi-person commuters. I dont think you can ban SUVs, but it's criminal that they dont have to meet the same standards as cars. It's a loophole that auto manufactures have been pushing shit through since it's so outdated.

Could you please answer? What is bad about improving our cities so that people can around more easily?
-
Why are you attacking a point that makes perfect sense? The whole point of tax dollars to is to benifit as many people as possible (such as mass transit) not those that have the time/money/lack of sense to sit in traffic on crowded freeways. What do conservatives have against a society that actually changes and gets better? It's where the word "progress" in progressive comes from.

CU is totally hippie/yuppie/liberal from everything I've heard. Moving to Europe is always an optin...my Irish citizenship is being processed, but it takes like a year. More than anything, however, i'd like to see my own country take on some progressive reform rather than have to move to somebody else's country to get it.

Sweet jeebus...I'll strap a yuppie onto my back and haul them up the trail for $1600!!
-
Hmm... I also find the price tag a bit out of my range. You see, with $4,500 in debt, I find it rather hard to finance a $60,000 import. Hehe. no, I certainly wasn't suggesting that you buy an A4, just thoguht it was interesting that he found it so large. You can actually get a 1.8t (soon to be 2.0t) with quattro and a decent set of options for low 30s. I realize it's still a pricey car, but my big question is why would anybody buy a 3 series BMW when you can get an A4 with AWD and better features, inside and out, for less money??

Yup, better standards of living, more acceptance, less intolerance, better relations with the rest of the world, a more educated society, reasonable health care, less violence...it's a horrible thing to desire that. Let's also get something straight. I dont really give a shit that some people have trucks. If you enjoy your truck, good for you. The thing that is ridiculous is that you go to downtown bellevue and you are surround by vain, image concious, clueless tools driving escalades, hummers, or whatever else the trend of the day is. They don't think, they just follow like a little lemming. It's pathetic and thanks to our silly auto laws, they drive giant communter vehicles that get worse milage, pollute more, and are less safe to the occupents and others on the road. We need to get rid of the "light truck" classification for SUVs. I ford pickup is one thing, but you can't convince me somebody is driving an escalade to haul gravel for their construction project. And Bronco, as much as people around here may piss you off, dont do stuff just to piss others off. I got the impression you were kidding, tho...

HAHAHA...plymoth prowler, where the slogan should be "ALl the looks of a bad ass roadster, with all the attitude of a honda accord" in other words, it has a V6 and an auto tranny.

It's all about what is popular. hacks don't target macs or opera cause nobody uses it. And generally the "alternative" browsers are used by smarter folks than your typical american computer consumer...it's easiest to target the uninformed masses.
-
But clearly protecting polluting american industry is more important than even considering that we could be fucking shit up.

I'll definitely post the result; like I said, I have no clue one way or another. I guess what I found annoying is that for all the other student groups they simply point you to a list where you can browse all of them. They went out of their way to send a specific list of all the religious student groups and encourage me to join one. It looks like this group that sent it is not actually a specific student group but rather an institution of the university that promotes these groups. Who knows though...

Nah...my 7 year old subie wagon got 26 or so, better if strickly on the highway. You know, there is some middle ground between a honda civic and an f250, right? My very tall friend (6' 6") actually found the Audi A4 very comfortable, interestingly enough... I wonder if sweedish cars would be good for tall people? The scandanavians are quite a tall group of folks.

HA! I love the Euros!!!

There were a whole bunch of options, muslim included. That isn't the point..it is a state sponsered mailing with a card titled "C.U. RELIGIOUS CONTACT CARD, please return immediately!" I don't think it matters if they offer 1 choice or 100, they are using tax dollars to suggest some sort of affiliation. No use speculating anyway, I have no clue either...which is why I sent it on to some people that do. They may just as well say it's ok, but that is for them to decide.

Is the program optional for the inmate? I see nothing wrong with allowing them a selection of jobs they can participate in to earn money for their families, their post-prison lives, etc.

It's sent from an actual CU address, from a CU building. Simply allowing them to exist and funding them are two different things. It's hard to tell but that is why I'll let UA figure it out. They've got a legal team for that. Note that I didn't get a card in the mail from the climbers club or the african pride club or the model rocket club or the...
