  1. when someone like Bush2 comes along, I want the media to ask him pointed questions about his stance and record (all of it) rather than giving him a pass because he sounds like someone you'd have a beer with or because he didn't have a brain freeze (or whatever) during a debate.
  2. where did you get that I said media-less? There is a big difference between reporters doing their jobs and talking heads focusing on form rather than issues.
  3. I can't wait till we are comfortable having articulate buxom babes run for president. It'd be great TV too.
  4. UNtil it comes back to bite you in the ass and you don't have a leg to stand on. The end doesn't justify the means.

  6. I am not defending Perry. It's just that I have no interest in validating the corporate media's marketing of candidates. I mean if only he had been capable of saying he wanted to get rid of commerce, education and energy, his campaign would still be on track?
  7. Geothermal energy and water storage are 2 other potential sources of activity on the land discussed. They started exploratory wells for a geothermal plant near Baker Lake in 2008 but I'd assume there is potential around much of Mt. Baker.

  11. Are you claiming that it isn't more difficult to exploit a claim within a National Park than on Forest Service land?
  12. "I would prefer not to." Alright, Bartleby. nice one! where are your pom poms?
  13. One has to be really twisted to assume that people out of work and students whose tuition has gone through the roof (and with poor job prospects when they come out) demonstrate to skip work and classes.
  14. You're not worth the wasted expended energy, you brain-addled ass clown. We already all know that you'd rather trade substance free insults until kingdom come, which surely must be a sign of your not being "brain-addled" Well, you see, I don't need to make shit up like you do to show what a moron you are.
  15. KKK needed DeChristo to say what he didn't dare say this entire time. Such courage ...

  17. we are still waiting for an argument (a complex one too, LOL), jackass. But, we all know it'll never come.
  18. It's not my fault that you are incapable of following your own logic in 2 posts separated by less than a minute.
  19. Indeed. That's how it's been for quite some time now. Glad you caught on! Yeah, so we don't know who we are electing behind the curtain but in your immediately preceding post you argue that his performance during debates is fundamental to the democratic process? You are a moron.
  20. No, we're supposed to think he isn't presidential material because of his crazy beliefs and policies. The fact that he had a brain fart on national TV just shows that he doesn't even know what he's trying to say. Lots of people have brain farts including the best among us. It means little in terms of their potential to be effective leaders. Being a well groomed spokesperson doesn't make one a thinking person (cue Reagan, even though he wasn't that polished)

Parties usually represent different parts of the political spectrum even if there are clearly people who don't fit the labels; but, it is safe to say that conservatives tend to not want liberalized access to substances like drugs and alcohol, while liberals tend to want the opposite.

Well, McKenna was for it and Inslee was against it. A small sample but a significant one since one of the 2 will be our next governor.

Not that I paid a great deal of attention but the GOP tended to support the initiative in the name of the "free" market, while Dems tended to oppose it for a number of reasons ranging from jobs to saving the children. It obviously wasn't a fast rule since for example I am as liberal as they come and I always thought it was stupid to not have regular stores sell alcohol. The irony resides in those people who usually and historically don't want alcohol or soft drugs to be freely available arguing that availability plays no role in use frequency.

Yet, state owned liquor stores are as American as apple pie. GOPers were opposed to more liquor stores and telling us to think of the children not so long ago, so it's kind of ironic. Especially that we are one of the very few non-Islamic state with a 21 yo legal drinking age. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_drinking_age
