  1. hey gary, go fuck off...last time i checked this morning i didn't need a lecture, punk
  2. Oh...gee thanks... don't listen to ding dong...find someone willing to split a prodeal with you and USE them... Also, check ebay for "quitter racks"...cams, particularly the bigger sizes, are pretty bomber...often, people wanna start trad climbing...buy a huge rack, try it, don't like it and sell the stuff... Also, you can find a lot of BD camalots, not C4's now...
  3. why not start high end so you don't replace? I'd suggest using other people's stuff for a while and figure out what you like and what pisses you off...then save a little bit more and buy EXACTLY what you like... no reason to mutter to yourself, "goddammit, i shoulda spent $10 more...this thing sux" Oh, and find some one to hook you up with a prodeal!

    bouldering rulz!

hey...he's the little boy who blew...
  5. hmmm...i'm about 5'-5" and i think sag is .11b...maybe you're too tall???
  6. that should be fine...you will get a lot of tar on your saw though....i'd rent it and wreck their's!
  7. hey shapp...you might actually consider trapping a treated board edgewise between the two...there are several reasons, first: this will produce a square, monolithic piece of concrete, as opposed to the feathering effect of concrete poured against a ragged chunk of asphalt...this will prolong the life of that concrete edge. Second: it will give a tire a slight roll point (don't know how to describe this) but being softer than either the ashpalt or the concrete it will let load smear across the two and prevent pounding down the asphalt as a tire goes from hard to soft. Third: it looks nice and the concrete, if properly built, will long outlast that asphalt. When the time comes to repave the ashpalt you will have a nice premolded joint waiting for it! fourth: concrete poured against ashpalt will interlock with the asphalt and you wind up tearing it (the asphalt) apart over time as they flex differently... Or, you could say fuck it and pour right to the asphalt after cleaning up the edge and it will probably be ok as long as really heavy stuff doesn't routinely roll over it...

  16. Yeah, it rained @ 3-4pm but then stopped - sort of. BTW Rudy - that dissertation was the short version. So you know, my internet to English Translator translates WTF to What the Fark. Fark will not translate. its amazing you get any climbing in at all!

oh, and cbs, they are waaaaaay more flexi than tcu's... having said that, i use tcu's ALL the time and they are my favorites...built like tanks...i'm still using some that i've had from the late 80's...and i USE them, I suck and fall ALL of the time...

i remember when the first camalots came out...no issues then... AFIVE was sportin' some last weekend, why don't you ask him???
  19. after that dissertation, you didn't go?? WTF?@!??!?
  20. I did mine on Feb 2. Discomfort? Well, basically i "defined" that as getting to the point where i would think "Nope, not gonna do that again"...
  21. i did the same thing to my MCL from a stupid heel hook move on PLASTIC ...goddammit it sucks!! Have you seen a doc? Mine was determined to be on the low side of a Grade 2...basically some tears but no "separation"...her comments to me (and so far they have been on) was to leave it alone for 1/2 a month, then use it to the point of "discomfort" and it should be back to about 75% of normal by 6 weeks, but that i would continue to "notice" it for up to a year, by which time it should be completely healed up... so far, the f-ing thing doesn't hurt but feels weird! it gives out on me at unexpected times, but if i concentrate on it, i can push it full force...really weird! The other thing, the middle of the night, around 1 to 2 am in the morning the frickin' thing is on fire...really smarts then...also, stiffer than anything in the morning, but by 10 or so, all is good... you need to see an ortho to ascertain the level of damage...
  22. no...he has the same issue as everyone else...just waaaaay too homely to use my beautiful methods! Speaking of, you willing to help him out?? I don't want him to ultimately wind up searching for neutrino's on girth or writing internet dissertations on failing alien cams! BTW: Just kidding john and joseph!
  23. hey thanks to John and Joseph...i'll pass this thread to Donny...his username is dbelden
  24. yeah, i'll bet you get bruising on the knees!
