Man, i got my shoes back in less than a week from my ship date... Quality work as always...two pairs...he's now resoling with Onyx rubber as well as the old standbys (haven't climbed with it yet)...man, the shoes' soles stuck together!!! It was crazy... Broken in shoes with a fresh new sole!

i have a question about Marlboro Man...Several years back, bob rogoz (cpb aka asscowkiss) and i tried to do the passenger but got on sumpin' else that was a fingery liebacky crack system with several fixed copperheads...i hadn't been climbing much that season and it felt hard when i led it...my guess at the time was mid 5.12...is this the marlboro man? there was more climbing above on gold rock in a dihedral, but it looked hard and that pitch worked me...came close to taking a huge whip on the last copperhead and was scared and wanted down... This is the first time i've actually looked at a topo for this wall closely (yeah, big mistake)....I just let bob lead the way to the route and we sandbagged ourselves,

In medical school they have a saying about the teaching/learning of various procedures: "watch one - do one - teach one" There is nothing better than teaching to make your own skills stronger. They are teaching basic skills after all, not hardcore advanced alpinism. This is basically a dumb ass statement...its basic skillz whether moving or protecting that keep you alive...duh

I climbed near a cc.comer on day and he was an asshole. You are all assholes because it it your culture. I've been at this game for long enough and had enough encounters to accurately make this correlation. I probably shouldn't have made this post as it is inflammatory in nature but the correlation is so strong that it does make for very interesting food for thought. what's wrong with being an asshole??? I heard that one of Jens's regular partners flunked outta da Mounties. The Mounties regularly have a graduation rate of something like 1/2 to 2/3. And they do kick out people who have been warned about fitness, safety, etc., and don't get better. ...and he's prolly progressing at a faster rate than had he stayed in that clownclub...my guess...
