  1. This thread belongs in one of those toyota offroad forums this one is priceless! heston is such a philosopher!
  2. nice post matt!
  3. So who has first descent creds for the dome in the middle of the crater? I bet they smelled awful when they came out of there
  4. you don't know how often that happens to me running in lake oswego down here. It's like a damn game of frogger. Yukons and Suburbans with timid (and often shocked when they realized they almost mowed someone down) mommies behind the wheel.
  5. I vote for kook. Or dead, if he went to check out the cornice.
  6. I'd be pretty pissed off if anyone essentially caused the deaths of hundreds because it had anything to do with so-called "god's will". I really don't care if it was Clinton, the guy down the street, or my dad.
  7. Sooo, how do you feel about constitutional amendments redefining marriage? If it's not spelled out in the constitution it should be good to go! I apologize for not getting the NRA 101 course on constitutional interpretation. If you can't see the dangers of "word of god" decisions at that level, well there's just no reason to argue with you. P.S. You can cut the condescending bullshit, I guarantee it does not make you appear smarter.
  8. Look, I'm just relaying what god told me. Don't shoot the messenger! (no really, don't shoot the messenger) Apparently it was good enough to start some ol' fashioned nation-building, so it shoudl be good enough for you.
  9. gregw that is ridiculous. here's my proof: god told me it was ridiculous.
  10. crusades suck
  11. I also like the blatant triple-spacing and monster margins in the second one to fill two pages.
  12. what an ass. I've never seen someone do that to another biker, though I've encountered some "holier than thou" racer types. They're usually pissed because some commuter in a rain slicker and panniers just passed them.
  13. yep, you dig down 10 feet there and you'll find an old mx missle silo. 1000 feet below that, Dick Cheney.
  14. If a bike enters traffic lanes without a bike lane, it should behave as a car. In downtown Portland, at least, traffic is slow enough to make it easy to do this on a bike. Guys like that put all bike commuters at risk. But it is easy for bikers to get ticked off at traffic, since they get cut off all the time by either clueless or inconsiderate drivers. You have to be the brains for about 6 people around you at all times on the bike, and that wears on your ability to remain calm when someone almost kills you because they HAVE to make a right turn before the light changes.
  15. I agree with you wholeheartedly matt. I don't have a problem with it at all, but I think it's unfortunate that it is the default behavior for many people.
  16. you have the gps location of the place you dumped your last used sofa
  17. ketchup ISN'T low carb?! you're killing me here! back to the drawing boards...
  18. anywhere you've ripped the skins off, pulled down the goggles, locked the boots, and RIPPED IT UP LOL!
  19. That stonehenge thing is the weirdest thing I've ever seen. "Hmm let's see. We should have a veteran's memorial here. What would really need to do justice to their sacrifice? Of course! A poor knock-off of some astronomical observatory from 2000BC! And you know what? Let's build it out of cheap concrete!"

    Disgusting habit

if you really want peace and quiet, carry around something that sends out a low-wattage dirty signal around 2GHz.
