  1. LMAO erik pics say a thousand words
  2. yeah I was planning to climb more rather than hanging out for an eternity in the shade.
  3. I was with one other person rapping off that 10a (dunno the name but a great climb!) to the left of jill's thrill straight above the ledge. What a mess down there, but we did get some climbs in. I was the fool hanging out in a green t-shirt in october.
  4. jaunt around beacon rock for a few climbs, ran into a pack of 3 cc.com'rs easily identified by horsecock babble (shredmaximus, sketchfest, and one other I didn't catch) then climbed with shred and MtnHigh on the Eliot in some nice wind and rain. Throw in a freezing level of 6K' and you have
  5. I'm pretty sure that photo is looking down the west ridge. You would not have that view at any time on the west face. Sorry if I didn't make any sense earlier
  6. Depends what you call a pitch, since the part they share could be reasonably done unroped. the west face eases off considerably once you reach a loose gully, and after that there is some very moderate climbing to gain the west ridge above that picture you have there of the summit block (there is actually some more ridge climbing after that picture you have labeled as the summit, if i remember). You just scramble along to the summit on exposed but easy rock to the summit.
  7. the top part is definitely the west ridge summit block. dunno where you started from on the ground though.
  8. so is anyone actually going on sunday? nice to run into you guys at beacon on Sat. too bad there was such gridlock at the snag ledge.
  9. I smell model glue. Have a good weekend folks I'm going home after that beer thread!
  10. hard to say w/o frame of reference. show an image with the ground in view.

  14. I've heard of a number of people who have had mi's who were in dynamite condition. Just takes a small clot to break loose at some point. An older guy died of a heart attack up on 3 Fingered Jack here in Oregon a few years back after summiting. Sad, but when you think about it a pretty good way to go when you get older
  15. the acropolis will also service your laptop
