I end up placing the smaller wired sizes as nuts a lot of the time and the swaged cables are not nearly as strong (they put in a lot more flex than the typical nut cable). I only have the small gold one (#3?) and a larger (#7?) wired. the latter has been useful in places where you can reach up and slot it behind stuff. you could not do this with a corded hex, but then again you're not exactly placing gear in the best fashion when you are reaching up and blindly slotting things.

this should make thurs interesting. if you know the mechs of placing draws correctly and setting up an anchor at the top (usually trivial w/ two chains, etc) it isn't a huge step up. You just need to ease back a bit and be a bit more sure of your hands and feet. too bad the consequences of falling on things below 5.10 are often more severe than above 5.10. a mental centering routine helps when you are running it out (if that's even possible to say) to the next bolt.
