the steep skiing mecca stuff is lame. If there are cliffs in the area and it is above snow level there is steep skiing wtf.
btw: oregon drivers have my vote for worst snow drivers. what f'ing part of "chains/traction required" don't you understand mr. lincoln navigator. stop trying to pass me with that crap. multiple minivans spinning out and winding up in oncoming traffic
thanks for the broccoli bands idea beck, that will work great. l.goddess: yeah just sling it over your shoulder. as beck says it makes life easy during beacon searches too. It's a pain to carry a shovel around while working the transceiver in one hand, and an even bigger pain when you don't carry one around at all
here it is:
but $45 now? what a rip. go to canadian tire and pick up a driveway scooper! looks like life-link has a nerdy gizmo that replaces my duct tape deal I said above. In fact, they even badmouth the duct tape deal.
I like the lifelink metal ones, the black one. Don't skip on scoop size (though some of those things are enormous). I guess I haven't tried other shovels too much, but a medium-sized metal one seems to work well. I attached a strap to the handle and shovle so I can ski with just it and a probe duct-taped to it when yo-yoing.
If you are registered on DigiMarc you can embed copyright information as digital noise to the image. It is generally impossible to see. You can make the watermark more permanent (though potentially more visible) if needed. It will survive printing and rescanning. For more info, www.digimarc.com. It is included with Adobe Photoshop these days.
I bet you can hear "the Wilhelm Scream" in that movie too, since it is featured in the previous ones and all the star wars movies, and indiana jones, and, etc, etc.
