If you really want to climb with someone from this BBS try meeting them first. Go to a pub club. meet some folks at the gym, hiking, at Mt Si or Little Si, so they can try you out before they buy...no one wants to get up on a mountain in a dangerous situation with someone who lacks skills and knowledge. most people who post here know each other or have met or have met someone who knows someone. make an effert to be sociable. post some trip reports.

That's funny and I am sure many would like to believe that. A smart man is not bothered by this. We just move on if our needs are not met or we can't satisfy her. On the other hand, you have to be weak man to feel this way and stick around with a woman who is just using you until the kids are old enough to dump you. But then who is?? or Steph Davis. there are many more and books about the women who came before us isn't there one called "She Climbs" or something like that about the history or women climbers in the PNW? try moving to a city where there are montains or at least mountains that are close. there you will meet many other young people who share your interests. if you were at UofO you could take all the mountain skills classes you wanted and call them electives. and get credit for them.

Sweet baby Jesus! That must have hurt. There's got to be more to that story. I take it that the cornea was reattached and eventually all was well with the eye? The previous day, I'd been cutting steel lath-reinforced stucco using a diamond cut off blade on a high speed grinder. I wore safety glasses. I surmise that the particle was lurking on my lower eye lid. When I rubbed the eye, the particle penetrated the cornea. i was a little tipsy when i took my contacts out, and apparently dehydrated. i ended up in the ER at 4 am becuase i couldn't open my eyes (either of them) the pain was so bad. i had to go to a special eye doc that put a different kind of contact on my eye after unrolling my cornia. it healed really quickly. eyes are amazing!!!

we got 4 inches yesterday and more overnight. 1-4 more expected today. I just hopes it melts enough for me to get my kids and get to my house. no work for me today.

I haven't started yet. I am still working on getting out of bed everyday although the last few days have been sooooooooooooo MUCH BETTER. i will be at smith as soon as the pass clears

I think that is what i was trying to get at. and that statement is spot on. You are right, our lives our full of deception. i know i have certinly fucked up more than once. but i accepted my consequences for my deceptions any my honestys and sometimes they both hurt just as much. I guess what i keep thinking is how can you live every day with someone an dbe so obviously out of love with them, and have them not notice??? but that takes up back to your statement that it is much more than the sexlife that is gone...

In my oppionion staying in a partnership becuase of the children makes excellent sense financialy and interpersonaly. I can say that i have much happier much more fullfilling relationships now that i have my kids 50% of the time. Calling that partnership a marrige is where i think i dissagree. make a contract have a deal, but give eachother freedom to find love with out betrayal. This whole thing makes me really really sad. I feel bad for them because they are in a relationship that seems to be based on dishonesty.
